Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Schick Injector I2 Hydro Magic (kindly on loan from @boldsworth)
Blade: Personna Injector (2)
Brush: Doug Korn Epsilon 2-band
Lather: Stirling Lavender & Bergamot
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2nd shave today with the Schick Hydro-magic, which was kindly loaned by @boldsworth, and unfortunately it was a bit of an average shave - felt very rough and I had many micro-weepers :(

I am not sure, if it was the razor, the blade, my poor technique or a combination of those...but I think, I will give it a rest and go back to some trusted allies. Lather was beautiful (picture here) and the scent still lingers around a bit - or is it just my wishful thinking?

I was reaching for the P&B Spitfire when I came across the Limited Edition "Strewth" by PAA and @shavetheman from last year. It is a similar scented soap so I thought I'd go for it. The lather was terrific with top slickness and cushion. The blade was nearing the end of it's life but the quality lather meant there were no weepers or irritation. The scent is quite pleasant (as @Osman described in the past: "it's like walking into an R.M. Williams store") and lasts -especially with the addition of the matching aftershave. I'd heard of some people reacting to the soap/splash (there is menthol which provides a strong blast) but it was nothing but good times for me. (y)

Pre-Shave: - Shower & Musgo Real Classic Scent Pre-Shave Oil Soap
Brush: - Semogue SOC 2 Band Badger 24/53mm
Lather: - Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: - Fatip head with a iKon Bamboo Handle :love::love::love:
Blade: - Gillette Silver Blue #2
Post Shave: - Alum Block / T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I borrow my brother iPhone since I don't take photo very often and I was shaving again this afternoon since I was enjoying myself on Monday shaving with original Fatip Piccolo v2.0 OC safety razor and it was the most smoothest and closest shave than the R41 v2013 it's true please believe me when I tell you this, and don't worry I still love my Muhle R41 v2013 is not as smooth as the Fatip Piccolo which still gives the closest shave and I will never give up the Muhle R41 as I'm very happy to used both safety razors during my rotation best of all both razors provide the closest shave ever.

The Fatip Piccolo weight about 72 grams and the handle length is about 70mm long and overall height is about 80mm it's a small size razor with a nice weight you can't go wrong during you're shave, however I didn't have any issue shaving with the Fatip Piccolo as I wasn't aware it looks small in my hand when I realised the handle wasn't quite long enough it still a fantastic razor to have. So I've decided to change the Piccolo handle with a iKon Bamboo Handle for extra length and weight and than suddenly it has beaten the R41 v2013 right off the bloody bat and it has become the #1 holy grail safety razor in my hand while shaving, suddenly I didn't realised I was holding an Excalibur in my hand with a Fatip head along with a iKon Bamboo Handle together it has become the most perfect shaving tool in my hand just made me cry even more and it was the most smoothest and closest shave ever for me in Australian wet shaving in history.

You MUST try the new Fatip v2.0 with a heavy handle of you're choice and you'll never know that you've might have been hold an Excalibur in your hand for the most smoothest and closest shave ever in you're life.

Great write up and great photo mate!

Have been a bit lazy the last week. Continued using the Gillette 7 O'Clock Black blade for another two shaves, totalling 6 shaves in all. Tried for a 7th, but was not up to scratch anymore. Also with the third shave, I threw it in the Rockwell with plate 3. Nothing amazing to report on the past 3 shaves apart from I feel rather comfortable and nicely familiar with the Gillette open comb razor now. :) Amazing what a small patch of monogamy can do for ones technique! Started my new relationship with the Rockwell last shave, and was very conscious of the extra weight in the stainless steel. Had a good shave with the new 7 O'Clock - not great but good. Will post my thoughts in the blade thread soon. Happy shaving everyone! (y)

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: B&M Beaudelaire
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, B&M Beaudelaire

B&M performance is stellar. But where this soap truly shines, is the scent department. I love it. Dark and leather like. BDSM all the way.

1908 Brit Single Ring one of my favorites and so nimble. After much experimentation Plat-Lux seems to work best for me with all my Old Types. Sweeny Todd my new favorite from R-66. E.J. Synthetic V.2 with my (one dollar) Art Deco salad shave bowl from the thrift store. Another great 3-pass today made possible by a C.W.S.

Brush: DR Harris Best Badger H3
Soap: Phoenix & Beau Spitfire
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (4)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Cologne: T&H Spanish Leather

Chocks away with Phoenix & Beau Spitfire soap. Didn't quite get the lather right first time out - was a touch foamy. Despite this, the soap performed really well. A very close three pass shave and cleanup. This soap really excels in slickness, and this also translated to a great post-shave feel. I've really been spoilt with soaps in recent times.
The scent to me is a musty leather which is very masculine. Kind of reminds me of a back-shed/workshop smell, in a good way. Certainly a refreshingly original scent.
The T&H Spanish Leather cologne was a good match.

Stirling Barbershop. What a scent! What a slick lather! That is all.

Absolutely one of my favourites, their take on Barbershop is superb.

ASB: Chatillon Lux - Bon Vivant
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, balm

Looks like I will not have any photos for the rest of the week :(

Still trying to get the procedure and amount of Chatillon Lux balm right. Slowly getting there. Today my skin was much less greasy (that is the only one problem I've got with CL balms right now) than yesterday. However the feel after the balm is fantastic!

Pre-Shave: screaming child
During shave: wailing child
Post-shave: shrieking child

Makes for a really crap shave.

He woke up at 4am and was cranky up until I dropped him of at childcare at 8am this morning. To tell the truth he was still cranky then, but not my problem for a few hours.
