Relaxing late Sunday morning shave...loving the WW Brush - I usually bowl lather so liking the face lathering so far. Smooth and careful shave with the Shavette - no nicks, tidied up around the chin with the 'Crat. Nice summery splashes for the hot Sydney Sunday...

Enjoy your shaves and the remainder of your weekend G... you bloody mongrels...:sneaky:

That's borderline on a partial citation there guy but you pulled it back superbly with some nice stereotyped Australian vernacular. Just watch where you go with those 'G''s in future you bloody crazy wild bastard

Wow - fantastic shot and post processing. Way to set the bar even higher! (y)

So gentleman I took it upon myself to do some testing, on the hunt for a jew Aussie soap maker. Went to the farmers market and stumbled across soap maker who had both a soap & balm.

Well...... it shaves ok. The lather was copious & I mean copious but lacking, it did glide but it was thin, airy and dried off quickly.

The balm was nice, was actually grainy, not sure why. Definitely soothing and soaked quickly and well!

I'll shave it again, but not sure how to improve the lather consistency.

Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point

I ordered my Mastro Livi Club Shave Brush 2016 Edition and, while I am waiting for this exclusive and beautiful brush to be made by Mastro Livi - as well as for all the other members of Google+ Mastro Livi Club - for today's shave I used the very first Mastro Livi shave brush I ordered to him. As for the razor, I opted for a beautiful Damasteel Ladder pattern blade which delivered, as usual, a comfortable and close shave, although somewhat aggressive, something common to all Damasteel blades, as far as I can tell. Satisfactory shave for a smooth BBS, while dreaming of using my Mastro Livi Club Shave Brush 2016 Edition. I can't wait and, of course, I am counting each minute to the day Mastro Livi will give me this exclusive and beautiful shave brush.
  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: Weleda Shaving Cream
  • Brush: Mastro Livi Silvertip Badger, Makassar Handle, 26mm knot
  • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Medium Loom Strop "Coramella Italiana" and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Felce Azzurra

Razor: Standard
Blade: Derby Premium (3)
Brush: EJ Best badger
Soap: SH Fig & Brown Sugar
After: Alum, TSW After Balm

Third shave with the Derby Premium, and it fell off a cliff on the third pass. Started off OK but on the last pass the blade was tugging like a ... thing that tugs a lot. ATG on the upper lip was not fun, left a few little weepers as well.

And then the alum

Razor: Vintage Gillette British NEW head on TSW Bren Handle
Blade: Derby Premium (4)
Brush: Wolf Whiskers Brush with Envy White 24mm knot set at 50mm
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soap - Barbershop
Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co - Stirling Gentleman

Number four shave with this blade - still going OK.

Amazing lather this morning. Kept loading and adding water then load some more and add water ...

Dr Jon's Hydra Shave Soap
aPR - SV Aftershave Balm
Dr Jon's Hydra Aftershave

Definitely feeling the citrus vibe as the summer humidity makes it's way to Sydney, great lather from the Dr Jon's and the scent is fantastic, discernible notes of lemon, grapefruit lime and bergamot this morning and just what I needed. Switched back to the ATT after a couple of days with the Fatboy, I certainly appreciate the difference using a fixed position razor. Finished up with one of my own balms that worked well with the Dr'Jons aftershave.

Have a bloody good day fellas :)
