Well I felt I was letting shavedom down as 2 days have past and the grey growth was less than attractive.
Preshave: Hot washer treatment
Soap: Mine. A nice tallow formulation Sandalwood/Amber blend.
Razor: The wonderful Schick Type E from about 1939
Blade: Personna. These are a very good blade.
And a splash of witch hazel

Smooth 2 pass DFS and thankfully no cuts or weepers. I had a chat with my GP today and he thinks I will be fine with a cut throat so soon despite the blood thinners.
Tallow, sandalwood and amber. Yum yum.

Pre: GFT limes SF
Brush: Chubby 2
Soap: DR Harris Lavender
Razor: iKon B1 OSS
Blade: Feather
Post: alum, Thayer WH Aloe, Aesop Moroccan Neroli

I felt like I haven't spent any time at all with The Chubbeast, so today I embraced the badger and I decided to face lather. Wasn't the best but I'm getting there. Figured I should go back on training wheels and bowl lather it. It's easier to see whether it's @Psmith yoghurt or not. Face lathering is fine and all, but I should stick back to bowl until I master the ways of the Chubbeast.

Minor tinge with the alum, stubbles aren't quite cleanly Feathered off. Will try again tomorrow.

To date the most comfortable shave I had was with the MdC sample. That was just amazing.

Preshave: Proraso Red
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 with Windrose Handle
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Brush: Shavemac177
Soap: Mystic Water Irish Traveller
Post Shave: Nivea Balm and Captain Choice Bay Rum
Two Pass shave with a clean up. Superb soap with a lovely fresh scent. Just a thoroughly enjoyable shave that has given me a smooth face with no irritation. The Captains Choice is a lovely bay rum and one hour later and the scent is still with me.

Razor: Gillette F4 Fatboy (5)
Blade: Wilkinson Sword 'Light Brigade' (7)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson AS2
Soap/Cream: Shaver Heaven Arctic Menthol Extreme
Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

The Light Brigade shows no signs of wearing out - in fact it almost seems to be getting better.

My recollection of the menthol hit from the Shaver Heaven 'Extreme' version had faded - it is certainly there!

Floid is just a great finsher - sensational stuff.

No lather shots from this shave but ....

Lather Shots

... there are some lather shots from today

Brush: Shavemac 2-band Badger
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Manna Di Sicilia
Razor: Eclipse Red Ring
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra [4]
After-shave: Folsom & Co Black Powder splash

Superb. Simply superb.

Holy mother of backbone. This brush does not relent. Probably need to break this in a little bit to truly appreciate it.

I also need to measure the loft given the box doesn't have the specs of the brush. I got the 55 & cannot imagine the 50. That would have to be unpleasant.

Soap: Body shop Macca root sample
Brush: Simpson duke 2
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Astra (2)
After: Alum, tn Dickinson witch hazel, Nivea splash, Nivea balm

4 pass shave to BBS. Exquisite shave this morning. Had to play with the Macca root to get the lather right, but once there it was terrific. But of sting on the neck with the alum, and a minor slip up on the upper lip. Great shave overall!
