Eh Mark how's that FB good nick and shiny

It is my user. The nice and shiny ones are in their cases with the paperwork in the collection :)

There was 2 days worth of growth. And I'm still learning the ropes...
I'd still only go 2-3 passes if I was you.
When you are still learning not to add pressure to the razor you are more likely to give yourself a shave that might end up with irritation on the neck.

Another Simpson Manchurian here - beautiful and I would love to hear your thoughts!

Holy mother of backbone. This brush does not relent. Probably need to break this in a little bit to truly appreciate it.

I also need to measure the loft given the box doesn't have the specs of the brush. I got the 55 & cannot imagine the 50. That would have to be unpleasant.
Don't worry - the knot will loosen up in ~5-10 shaves and you will be happy ;)

Face Wash : O Melhor exfoliating soap
Pre-Shave : Myrsol Emulsion
Brush : Antiga Barbearia Boar Bristle
Soap : Shaver Heaven - Absolution
Razor : Jerry Stark Spanish Point Custom
After Shave : Alum, Myrsol Metilsol, Alvarez Gomez EDT

Although last week was a lot of fun for me, having a "DE Only" shave week, I must say that the first thing I did this morning was to go through the straights and choose one for today's shave. Ended up closing my eyes and selecting one by luck. First try of Shaver Heaven's tallow-based Absolution soap. A mighty effort, @Anthony! Very pleasant scent profile and a great lather for a straight shaver - it can use lots of water without losing lather integrity. From the first stroke of the straight razor, I started to get a smile on my face. By the time I'd finished the second pass, it was a full-blown grin. I'm afraid there's a sense of accomplishment from a good straight or Kamisori shave that you just can't get from a DE. The extra bits of ritual make the process even more rewarding.

A happy, relaxed shave :)

Loving the brush really looks awesome

G'day ;) it nearly 9am in Edinburgh (Scotland)

Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
Razor: Parker 31R Shavette
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2, 1st half of the blade)
Soap/Cream: Haslinger Sheeps Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF)
Post/After Shave: T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Natio Maximum Razor Relief Healing Lotion
Fragrance: L'Occitane Baux EDT
Time: Who cares I'm enjoying myself wet shaving, love making a bloody mess and clean up after I'm done.

Yesterday morning I've bought the L'Occitane Baux EDT at Westside Plaza in west of Edinburgh and I love the scent it very long lasting smell of Vanilla and Tonka Bean WOW any of you guys got the L'Occitane Baux EDT, I took a hotel mini bus from where I was staying at The Royal Scots Club Edinburgh so to get to Westside Plaza is about 20mins travel time in a mini bus. Last night after the Grand Lodge of Scotland during our lodge night all the masons went to a place call the Whiski Bar & Restaurant on High St, not very far where I'm staying and everybody and including myself are truly having a real great Masonic night and all masons were very please to have many Australian Masons to attend the biggest lodge night.

Well I love to tell you a lot more going on in Scotland so throughout the week is going to become a very huge Masonic history for both Scotland and Australian, bad news though their no shaving shops around Edinburgh unless I have to travel out west to Glasgow which I won't have time. I'll be home back to Sydney on the 28th, as I really want to go back to London for another two more weeks so I can catch up all the shaving shops in West of London never mind maybe next time.

Cheers ;)

So you gonna be pretty broke by the end of.the month

Excellent shave this evening with my shimmed 1924. Thanks for the link @twhite. My 1924 has never been so smooth but my goodness it cut so close. Note to self - until you are off the blood thinners this razor can wait. Only after the shave did I discover I had 3 oozers. One step up from a weeper, one step down from a cut. Did not feel a thing. Shimming the 1924 apparently alters the geometry of the current GEM blade more to the angle of an original thicker SE blade of 1919 - 1924. The razor in this configuration shaves so smoothly. My technique is not too bad but there is definitely room for improvement with the 1924.

Brush Turkish Horse/Boar
Soap: my Tallow formula Lime/Peppermint and Cloves
Razor as mentioned
2 passes and terrifyingly close to a BBS
