Razor: Schick E
Blade: Personna NOS
Soap: SH Tallow
Post: Stray Whisker tester

Had some time when I got home for a quick timeout so decided to give the sample of tallow shaver heaven I got from Peach. First impression was the scent in the jar was nice. Reminded me a bit of CK eternity. Once lathered the scent was quite mild but pleasant. As for performance I found it quite good. Perhaps not as slick as my summer breeze but I probably put it down to inexperience with this soap. Post shave was not bad too. Only minimal sting from the sample stray whisker aftershave (very nice!). More to come as I work my way through the sample.

Seems a bit of a trait with SH soaps

Maybe an individual thing but there are plenty out there that can out do it but as a local blend it's ok and competes well enough with the international market. The Soap Labels look good on the tubs look good

Brush: Simpsons Berkeley 46 Best Badger 2-band
Razor: Parker 31R Shavette
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (6, 2nd half of the blade)
Soap/Cream: D.R. Harris Windsor
Post/After Shave: Alum Block / T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Fragrance: L'Occitane Baux EDT
Time: Who cares I'm enjoying myself wet shaving, love making a bloody mess and clean up after I'm done.

Finally open the D.R. Harris Windsor shaving soap I've bought from UK in West London during my Masonic Lodges, I LOVE this scent of the triple-milled for profuseness of lather WOW! very thick and creamy rich slickness soap and I can't stop smelling it while I'm shaving at the same time GOD HELP ME I'm going crazy. I'm glad I've got the D.R. Harris Windsor shaving beech bowl and all I need to do is just buy the refill soap again, god crikey this bloody refill soap is very pricey here in Australia for a triple-milled soap of Windsor :(:confused:.

I better ask @Anthony to make some triple-milled soap of Windsor, IF I can get a good price and I would buy some ;)

Cheers (y);)

Second go this morning and starting to see better results. Still has a way to go in slickness to meet my benchmark, but I believe this time I underestimated the water it can take. Whereas I flooded it to early on the first time. Cushion has definitely improved over the original formula.

Pre-Shave: Occams pre-shave soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 with Kronos (kindly loaned by @Dragon Noir)
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Paladin Chief
Lather: Stirling Bay Rum
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I wanted to concentrate totally on the shave today - so I used the easy to lather soap and brush combo - lather shot can be seen here

My deepest gratitude to @Draco Noir for lending me the S1 - I have been wanting to try one out for ages, and while it was only a first shave - I can already say, that I like it very much! I will give it a thorough spin, before posting a review in 1-2 weeks.

Soap Commander Gusto
Epsilon Badger 2 Band 55x27
Vokshod.

An amazing shave other than the fact that whilst lathering I heard a slight cracking sound only to find that there was now a 2cm hairline fracture in the brush handle. Seriously annoyed given this is the 4th time I've used the thing since receiving it brand new 2 weeks ago.

Have sent an email to the retailer hoping to come up with some sort of a solution. A brush with that little use and with that high a price tag shouldn't have something like that occurring so easily.:cry::cry:

Not the greatest photo today hence the blur. Good shave though. I've enjoyed using this soap for the month bar one soap commander shave, but looking forward to some soap freedom for a while.

Ive put a small dent in this soap which was up to the top of the tub at the beginning of the month.

Quite a few shaves left.

Well done!
So how long do you estimate it would take you to finish the entire tub?!
One thing about Caties Bubbles soaps is that there's a LOT of soap! (More than most soaps.)

I think if I just used this solidly there would be another 4 or 5 months left. There must be a good 90 shaves in a tub probably more. 8oz is a lot of soap.

Soap: TOBS Jermyn St
Brush: Savile Row 3124
Razor: Weber Polished Head
Blade: Personna Super (3)
Post-shave: Barberry Coast - Havana Balm

Loving getting back into the Weber. Can't believe I hadn't used it in so long.

That Havana... seriously. Love the scent. Could be my favourite scent of all time, including over Cavendish...

Razor: Gillette F4 Fatboy (5)
Blade: Wilkinson Sword 'Light Brigade' (20)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Soap/Cream: Le Pere Lucien Le Savon du Barbier
Aftershave: Le Pere Lucien Lotion du Barbier

Not wanting to be an April Fool and aiming to get some balance before Tallow Saturday Themed Shave Day I had to go for one of my favourite non-tallow soaps.

A nod in your direction too @alfredus with a cheeky grin ;)
