Preshave: Proraso Red
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 with Windrose handle
Blade: Nacet
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: B & M Le Petit Cypre Latha
Post Shave:B & M Le Petit Cypre Post Shave Splash
Two Pass shave with a clean up. First use of blade and reasonably happy with it. About as sharp as an Astra but certainly smoother for me. First use of the soap as well. Typically excellent performance. The scent is clean and maybe a bit like old spice. Quite nice. The post shave splash has the same scent and gives you a hit of menthol and no balm required with it. A wonderful moisturising feel. These are excellent products at a very good price point.

Razor: Gillette F4 Fatboy (5)
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 46 reknotted in 'Pure'
Soap/Cream: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" Shave Soap
Aftershave: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" Aftershave

Figured a nice shave to finish before heading overseas for three weeks. Totally classy, BBS shave, very nice.

These guys will be my friends while away -

SOTDs will get rather boring and time will be limited so please just take them as read :)

See ya round guys!

Hmm - somebody said that Acqua Di Gio for Men would compliment the Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" well so I had a look at it in the Duty Free shop - has the wife tick of approval - will be on the purchase list!

[Also had a sniff of the Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille - Very, Very Nice!]

Oh yes!!! Very, very nice - all apart from price!

Yeah there was THAT bit. The 50ml tester seemed very full - almost wanted a home in my bag really ...

Preshave: Trumper's Skin Food
Razor: Gillette Slim (6)
Blade: Voskhod
Brush: Epsilon 27mm Horsehair
Soap: Chiseled Face Summer Storm
Post Shave:Alum, Thayers, Anthony Logistics Balm

Parent Teacher interviews in a few hours so needed a perfect shave with no redness. The Slim coupled with the Voskhod gives zero irritation, the soap is always a winner and the Anthony balm is amazing to combat any hint of razor burn.
Oh, and btw @MrT, the Skinfood as pre shave did absolutely nothing for me.
Ready to tell some parents how wonderful/awful their children are.

+1 to that opinion @Mark1966 - I have a 5ml sample bottle of it, and absolutely adore it. Great staying power and a masculine scent wonderfully evocative of an Edwardian Gentlemen's Club. Big call here, but I think it may be the finest AS my humble snout has yet encountered. A great pity it's not part of Tom Ford's slightly more affordable range of fragrances :(

Still $238 Duty Free :(

You should check out the Penhaligon's Halfeti - similar price but the Tom Ford reminded me of it a bit.

Good excuse to wander into Mensbiz and see what samples they have anyway :)

Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Sterling synthetic 22mm
Soap/Cream: Shaver Heaven - Summer Breeze
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns

Early start tomorrow so thought I'd get the shave in the tonight plus it was a perfect excuse to crack open the Ogallala Bay Rum sampler pack that arrived today from www.bayrum.com.au
Tonight's shave I was more relaxed and wasn't thinking so much about how much pressure or the angle of the razor and ended up with a great shave. Two passes with a little bit of clean up, I had no problems getting the spots under the jaw/neck either so I think I'm starting to get the technique down a lot better.

I really liked the Bay Rum Limes & Peppercorns aftershave, really nice scent and it gave me a smack in a good way when I initially put it on. I can't wait for my next shave so I can try out another Bay Rum scent.

Blade: Astra
Brush: Simpson Duke D2 "Pure"
Soap: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" Shave Soap
After: Alum, Myrsol formula "C"

Had a nice, relaxing shave this evening. The kids were in bed, the wife left me alone and I got a chance to try some of the goodies I picked up yesterday!
Tried out the 70th Anniversary Shave Soap, was not hugely excited yesterday when I smelt it. I got a pleasant surprise this evening when I unwrapped it from the little glad wrap parcel it came in. Brilliant fragrance, and only get nicer when it's on your face. Had an irritation free 3 pass shave tonight (WTG, XTG, XTG) and finished up with the Myrsol formula "C"! @Young Buck warned me about the burn, you can certainly feel the menthol. It's actually quite a pleasant burn! It didn't hang around for too long. All in all, a brilliant shave tonight courtesy of the kind fellas from the Melbourne group! Thanks Guys! (y)

Today's shave was bought to you by the heavily mentholated Yeti snot, and Alcolado glacial.

Wait, Myrsol has decent menthol? Why has no one told me this before?

Or is that burn you received just from a muggle trying to dip their wand into the dark arts?

It's got menthol, not sure it's up to your fiery standard...
Considering my only past experience with menthol is from Proraso Green... ;)

I'd be keen to know what you consider decent for an aftershave sir? I find the F/extra has the most menthol feel of the myrsol's I have, but will be interesting to see how it compares to the stirling MITA balm.
