Oh what a brush! Thank you @Psmith - it is sensational (and so BIG! - 24mm is huge when you are used to 20mm)

Lather shot here for those who like that - Lather Shots

Spitfire - three days in a row? Did I miss the start of May Madness again?

Soap: APR - Fougere Bourbon Rose
Brush: Paladin - 26mm Lotus Ebony
Razor: Parker 510
Post: APR - Fougere Bourbon Rose

Didn't get a moment to myself this weekend so for the first time in memory I didn't shave once. Long weekend here so that means I fronted the mirror today with four days growth! Only one thing for it - an open blade. Standard two pass (WTG ATG) to a 75% BBS. Effortless.... rinse the blade only when I change hands (half a pass). So easy, so smooth, so comfortable. <sigh> This brush is killer. Firm, yet soft, can scrub but never with a hit of scratch. It really is a delight. The razor is japanese forged sweedish silver steel. Say no more. Yet another winner from @todras. Nice light, almost delicate, bright scent to warm the heart and brighten the day. (y)

As to the lack of lighting and black equipment on a black background. Well, sometimes fast and rough is all I've got time for. Poor effort I know. (n)

Oh, gee, there is an idea - kick it off if you want!

I'm just enjoying playing with lather making :)

Pre: DR Harris Coconut soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger
Soap: Speick stick
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: Vintage Polsilver (2)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EdC: DR Harris Arlington

Same Donga, same Desert, same shave kit.
The Speick lather is very creamy and cushioning, would prefer a touch more residual slickness.
The vintage Polsilver blade is very smooth, with a gentle blade feel that belies its sharpness. The Savile Row brush is proving a good size for travel - big enough to hold enough lather for 3 passes if well loaded.
A terrific post-shave feel with the Emulsion topping it off nicely. I've put the Emulsion into an empty Shaver Heaven balm plastic bottle for travel suitability.

Eufros Dama De Noche Shaving Soap
Eufros Dama De Noche Aftershave Balm
Australian Private Reserve Winterfell Aftershave

Beautiful soap meets beautiful dark chypre, an effortless two passes.

Pre: Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue LE 2013
Soap: Mystic Waters Bay Rum
Razor: iKon Slant
Blade: GSB
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Stirling Ozark Mountain splash

Tad too much water, resulted in a thinner lather than I would have liked. However, it was still a good shave. This slant tends to be a bit more bitey, if absent minded.

Brush: Shavemac Americana DO1 (?)
Soap/Cream: Squadron Soap 'Spitfire'

Hmmmm, lovely

Pre: Shower
Soap: MWF
Brush: Shavemac Custom - 28mm D01 3 band silver tip.
Razor: Parker 567
Post: Barristers Reserve - Classic

I will not replace MWF when it has run out. Sure, it has good post shave feel but nothing earth shattering. Sure it has good lather but man do you have to work hard to get it. It's just not worth the effort when there are many soaps that give superior lather at the touch of a brush. Pretty much I just use it now because I own it and enjoy the scent. Not a good enough reason actually. The more water that is under the bridge the more narrow my regular equipment becomes. I have soaps such as Shaver Heaven Oatmeal Stout that last winter I couldn't get enough of but now; meah. It's good, it really is but there are soaps I'd rather be using. I would like to say it because it doesn't have a matching splash but My feelings toward my B&M collection is the same and it's all paired soaps and splashed. I have said it before, and I will say it again - it's a good day when stuff you pass over, stuff you want to move on is top shelf! I do have funds to raise for that razor.... might be time for another sell off. Brushes too. My Paladin - just amazing brush, but I pass over it now because it is not a hand tied knot. I've got a shelf of beautiful brushes and well, that's how picky I have become. Paladin anyone? See post above.

Razor: Progress short handle
Blade: PolSilver SI
Soap: Shaver Heaven Absolution (Tallow)
Brush: Maggard Synth
Aftershave: Shaving Station - Keffir Lime ASB

Really nice shave today! The SH tallow formula is absolutely wonderful! So easy to load and it's so creamy. I just dip the brush a couple of times during face lather and the end result was great! So creamy and slick!

The Progress was set at 4 as yesterday I found 2.5 to be a bit mild and could feel stubble by early afternoon.
After so many years and so many razors, I still find the Progress is the best, most intuitive, most comfortable and most effective razor.
