AVENTUS KNOCK-OFF SHAVE

Razor: Colonial General with Stray Whisker handle
Blade: Feather Pro (2)
Soap: Wickham Classic 24
Brush: TF Amber and Gold Synthetic
Post: Alum + Floid Black AS + Razorock Emporer EdT (first time)

Thoughts...
- I have a BBS but the General bled me a bit today. New blade tomorrow as that's not normal for me with this combo. Suspect I made the lather too thin today too.
- I am a pretty pineapple Creed Aventus man today with this scent profile in all the products. EdT is good but we will see how long it lasts. Certainly it's not a projection beast so I'm hoping for a nice work scent today. And I feel like a crimelord having ordered an EdT from overseas.

Lovely shave today with the Rockwell. This razor is seriously a magnificent tool. I love the brushed look and also the design overall. I really can't fault any aspect of this razor.

The LEA soap rocks! I have 8 refill pucks in reserve, one in use plus one that is in stick form. I highly recommend it! Although I believe they did away with the tallow formula and now it's veggie based. Glad I stocked up on this one!! :D

Got a shot of the side of one of the new formula refills courtesy of @Gifts&Care.com , as I couldn't find much info on the new ingredient list. Will certainly be on the lookout for a tallow refill now :)

I like the pairing of traditional Old Spice with rose-scented soaps and creams. This combo will probably last me through winter, or until APR's Bourbon Rose splash hits the market. ;)

I saw the test review and pictures of Barrisrters Reserve Original soap the other day, as expected it will be an excellent soap with the Old Spice fragrance from the Reserve Spice line.

Old Spice type fragrances will work particularly well with the Bourbon Rose too, that's a nice pairing right there :)

Amongst the Shavemacs, Paladins and M&Fs the Envy White knot gets a little lost, but today it reminded me of how stellar it is. For the money one of the best knots on the market. A great shave today with the Lavanille, but am I the only one who stains their entire bathroom with this stuff?

I agree @Psmith - the brown lather and water is a bit off-putting but the scent is incredible !

I tend to neglect the aluminium Standard a little at times. It's a good razor and it does it's job very well. Great shave today, just need to dial in the soap a little more to get the hang of it.

This was my shave for the last 2 days. I’ve gotta say, that I’m mighty impressed with The General so far. I have gotten a closer shave than anything I’ve tried without irritation. :)

Finished the shave off with the matching B&M splash, man I love the performance of these, not to mention the scent!

Another DFS from the ultra-reliable Slim. It has been nearly half a century since I first used a Slim, one I bought during my military service at a PX (Post Exchange) on Fort Campbell, Kentucky, during those last days of 1967. I used that razor for the next fifteen years, and my fondness for the Slim is such that I am thinking of springing for one that has been brilliantly refurbished. At my age, I cannot fathom why I shouldn't.
