Pre: DR Harris Coconut soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger
Soap: Speick stick
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: Vintage Polsilver (3)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EdC: DR Harris Arlington

Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel, same shave kit.
Got the lather wrong tonight - was a bit dry and pasty, so the shave was not ideal. Still pretty close, but a decent crop of small weepers on my neck. Myrsol Emulsion again did a great job to save the day.

@Greenpike is this your very first time using the General? if so how was the shave?

Not my first time but my first for a month. I really like it. It's mild for an SE from what I've read (it's my only artisan blade razor) but I find it very smooth and very efficient. I do get some weepers on the 3rd pass but I think that's lack of experience with it. For the price it was a brilliant buy as it does BBS on my neck better than anything else I've got.

Very pleasing on all fronts :)

Hi @rm71, how do you like the Rapira blades? How many uses per blade, comfort etc?
I used the Rapira platinum many moons ago but never found them to be much better than a mid range blade. I was using them in an adjustable razor so may not have had enough blade angle adjustment to get the best from them. I have also heard the Chrome are a better blade than the platinum in the opinion of some guys.

Pre: Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Special Edition 2013
Soap: Mike's Orange, pepper and Cedar wood
Razor: iKon Slant
Blade: GSB
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Barberry Coast Havana

Really can't make peace with this splash, will BST. Shave was excellent, though the slant tends to leave my face just a tad tender. Have to minimal pressure.

Razor: Rockwell 6S #4
Blade: Spoiler
Soap: LEA Classic puck, grated to a stick
Brush: Maggard synth
ASB: Shaving Station - Cedarwood/Vetiver ASB

Lovely shave today with the Rockwell. This razor is seriously a magnificent tool. I love the brushed look and also the design overall. I really can't fault any aspect of this razor.

The LEA soap rocks! I have 8 refill pucks in reserve, one in use plus one that is in stick form. I highly recommend it! Although I believe they did away with the tallow formula and now it's veggie based. Glad I stocked up on this one!! :D

Testing Mastro Livi Razor Club 2017

Last week I went to Mastro Livi's workshop and I saw he started making the first batch of Mastro Livi Club Razor 2017, a magnificent straight razor the members of the club can order until 12 May 2017. It is a special razor created by a collaborative project of Mastro Livi Club's members on Google+, a razor of which I certainly am very proud of. Mastro Livi gave me the honor and privilege to try this razor while I am waiting to get mine as soon as he finishes making it. I therefore am having in my hands - and you guess I am very happy for that - the prototype of this superb straight razor in order to test and try it. The blade is made of stainless steel with three semi-precious stone inserts (malachite, white turquoise and coral), a 8/8 full hollow blade with a French point and scales made of cocobolo wood. I finally shaved with this razor this morning and - wow! - what a super performing shaver it is! You can tell it is a Mastro Livi - everyone knows about his proverbial skill of honing an edge to unequaled perfection - with a velvety touch yet giving a very close shave. I brought this razor with me in this month's trip and I will use it - with my absolute joy and happiness - until next week, so I have plenty of chances to test this razor. For the moment, this Mastro Livi Club Razor proved to be an amazing and very elegant masterpiece, an impeccable work of art of the highest expression of the Italian craftsmanship of which, of course, Mastro Livi is one of the most revered and significant representatives. Magnificent razor! Great Mastro Livi!

Waiting till weekend to get back into the travel box, as been busy this week with month end (gotta love finance). First go of the General, and not inclined to give away all my other razors at this stage. Comfortable shave, and angle seemed quite obvious, but will give a few more goes before posting my thoughts (but will be in rotation if continues like today).
