Nice shot, great accompanying music clip, awesome visuals @UKSteve, albeit a bit depressing :(

Feather AC DX non folding
Kai Guarded blade (1)
GFT Rose Cream
Re-lather and cold rinse

Great 3 pass shave today. Back to re-try the Guarded blade now my technique has improved and it's still a really good option - very close 3 pass shave. Probably not as efficient as my favourite Pro Super blades but I can be a lot more casual with them on an early morning without any damage. I rate them as having less risk of damage than an aggressive DE.

The GFT Rose cream gave a nice lather but it died in the brush on the later passes - I may not have used enough but it felt like I had too much for the first pass actually. When I tried to get more water in it things just got thinner rather than slicker. It was creamy when it felt too dry - just couldn't get it to a point of being slick, wet and creamy / thick all at the same time. Might have been me so I will give it another try at some point.

Well... gotta work out what I'm going to do with posting pics in the absence of tapatalk :) probably email to myself and upload elsewhere of a night I reckon.

Soap - Jabonman Brisa (non-tallow)
Brush - TF Custom Ice Fusion w/ Black synth (26mm @ 59mm loft)
Razor - General
Blade - Kai Pink (dunno on use, think about 5-6)
Post - Jabonman Brisa Balm, Thayers Medicated & L'occitane Eav Des Baux

Just bought some Feather Pro Guards last night for a run in the General. Might ask around if anyone is keen to swap a couple as I would love to try Kai Captains (non-pink) or Feather Professionals. The results from the General with the Kai Pinks have been really good though, and enjoy this razor a lot.

Sunday, May 14
Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Lotion: Omega Alum Stick / Mennen Skin Bracer / Nivea Post Shave Balm

Rotated today to the Slim and appreciated its advantages. It is surely more efficient to adjust the Slim during a shave than it is by switching the baseplates of the 6S between passes. But both are fine razors indeed.

- Gillette Superspeed 1953
- Gillette Super Stainless 1989 Made in France
- Williams Mug
- Aqua Velva Ice Sport

Another wonderful shave with good 'ol Williams. Soap is the secret.
I really liked the Williams too! I got 6 pucks last year, used one and PIFed 5... I have a problem

Pre: Valobra Glicerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Soap: Stirling Coniferous
Razor: ATT H2 Open Comb
Blade: Vintage Wilkinson Sword Super Sword (2)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
Splash: Pitralon Classic

Another great shave with the very aggressive H2 plate. The Wilkie was marginally smoother on the second use, as is often the case with vintage blades. Three passes - close as. Brilliant postshave feel.
I'm a fan is Stirling Ozark Mountain, so a crack at Coniferous was always on the cards. I'd read reviews suggesting that Coniferous was more potent that Ozark Mountain, and Man can I confirm that! Ozark Mountain is no shrinking violet - it has a fresh natural forest scent with good silage. With Coniferous, you feel like you're slapbang in the middle of a dense forest and halfway through felling a pine tree, smothered head to toe in sawdust.

Thought I'd try something abit different today;
Razor: Aristocrat
Blade: Nacet (2)
Brush: whipped Dog synthetic
Soap: geo f trumper sandalwood
Splash: lucky tiger bay rum (I've added other things to it ;) )

Hoping for a good day today, work continues to be silly and my wife is home with the flu (lucky), I'm feeling a little consumed with trying to find work in a new feild but it's proving a challenge, perhaps I should go back to school...
pardon the random thoughts, but yea you already know this combo is good :)

Razor: Vintage British Aristocrat #15
Blade: Vintage Australian Gillette Super Stainless [aka "Aussie Spoiler"] (8)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'The Duke'
Soap/Cream: Squadron Soap 'Group Captain's Blend'
Aftershave Splash: Australian Private Reserve 'Un côtelette de porc' splash
Aftershave Balm: Australian Private Reserve 'Un côtelette de porc' balm

Another 'cut and paste' SOTD using the same gear as yesterday.

'cut and paste' SOTD on Paste & Cut - see what I did there? Dad joke to start your day ;)

Have a good one guys!

How do you find the mergress compared to the progress? Is there any discernible difference?

The tolerances are much tighter, less play in the razor. I think the progress is easily the best adjustable on the market, but the mergress takes it to the next level. It's definitely going to be a daily driver for me. The extra weight from the end cap is also welcomed, it adds just that extra bit to the razor that is welcome.
