Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade(s): Feather (1)
Brush: Simpsons Super Chubby 2
Soap/Cream: APR Winterfell

Swapped out the Polsilver for a Feather and a huge difference. I would have to say that Polsilver in this razor just doesn't work for me. Also I recognise that as this was my first razor, that my technique has improved somewhat since starting DE shaving.

Feel a little ripped off as for the last few days haven't been able to smell any of the wonderful soap scents due to a cold.

Brush: Wolf Whiskers
Cream: Fauldings
Balm: Executive Man

I didn't have much time for a shave this morning so reached for the cream in order to cut down lathering time. The shave felt very comfortable, two passes across the grain in opposite directions and the result was a close enough shave for me, but I was left with a little redness in areas that aren't usually trouble spots for me.

I did rush the lathe and definitely added to much water to quickly, and it was the fourth use of the Polsilver blade, so I think they both may have been contributing factors. Most of the redness had cleared up within an hour or so though, so no real harm done.

It's a strange thing to shave with such a smooth, comfortable razor, but still end up with redness (I hesitate to even call it irritation because my skin doesn't feel irritated at any stage). I'm going to try a different blade next shave, perhaps a Gillette silver blue (a blade I usually hate, but I want to see how it goes in the MJ) or a personna red, I haven't decided yet.

Back on a cold bike to cycle to work this morning. Great shave although the blade may only have one more shave left in it... The big boar lathered up really well from the same amount of soap I usually use with a stick. It seems big brushes generate more lather from the same amount of soap in this format. My favourite brush!

Probably one of the best soaps I've ever used but due to my cursed skin, I reacted to them. I have 6 near new tubs which I'll have to sell off when I'm back in Sydney later in the year

how do you find this shave cream i use to use this back in the dark times when it was cartridge city and cheap was good but now with a bit of knowledge ,and whats available to me i just forgot-about it . I did think it was good then .

It's decent, doesn't often get a run these days, but I used to mostly add it to soaps that smelled good, but didn't necessarily lather that we'll. It produces perfectly serviceable lather.

No specific ingredient. It's generally scent strength that does it as I've reacted to so many soaps with strong scents. Such a bummer as Wickham is awesome soap with wonderful scents.

Brush: Omega Synthetic Hi-Brush
Soap: Proraso Green
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable (+3/4)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Lotion: Omega Alum Stick / Mennen Skin Bracer / Gillette Apres-Resage Gel

Another bbs shave with the Slim and the Silver Blue. This is my favorite combo, invariably easy and drama free. As best as I can recall, I have not nicked myself while using the Slim since I returned to DE shaving.
