Brush: Shavemac 26mm 3 band D01 Silver tip.
Soap: B&M - First Snow
Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade: GEM (1)
Post: Stirling unscented WH & Aloe balm. B&M - First Snow

Okay, so I am a sucker for punishment, that and I like a challenge. I didn't go for the used blade, nope went with the new one again. Result? I gave the razor much respect today and the first two passes were great (WTG & ATG). The wheels fell off with ATG, mostly on my neck. It was very uncomfortable so went for a second ATG. Nice smooth result, no irritation but added the balm to be safe. I'm sure the results today were predominately a result of a too close shave yesterday. I have loaded the older blade in but will go back to a straight for a few days to let my face catch up. As to First Snow, I get it now! And I think I will put my thoughts in a review thread.

Brush: RR Monster (finding it hard not to prefer synthetics to badgers tbh)
Soap: Stirling Frozen Tundra
Razor: Rockwell 6S #4
Blade: Vintage Personna Stainless Steel (2)
Post: Thayers Medicated & Myrsol Plastic

Starting to get hooked on menthol now. Just been so bloody hot, and it's such a great relief. I've not used the RR synth for some time, and I have to say that it really is a pleasure to use. Whilst I appreciate the badgers, I could easily use the synth as a daily driver.

Shower
Feather AC DX non folding with Feather Pro blade (1)
Cella
Proraso brush
Re-lather and cold rinse

WTG and ATG because I was feeling curious. Got one tiny cut (no real blood) and a few weepers - as per usual on a new Pro blade for me. I can see why some people cork these blades to start with. After a few shaves they are fine for me though - just have to be careful with these first shaves...

Still no issues with my "no product" aftershave routine. Skin feels great and no zits! Although the Cella has a bit of extra sensation on the face compared to others that I can still feel hours later - could be the almond oil doing something? Now that the Cella has been used for awhile the scent has moderated - when I first opened the tub it was rather overpowering.

Loving the proraso brush for the awesome backbone and soft tips. At 60mm, It's a lower loft than an Omega 48 (70mm) and 49 (65mm) and seems perfect, although I'm yet to try those others. It seems that if I treat it mean I keep it keen...

Vetiver Dry is the monster of an aftershave I guessed it would be. Vetiver is the business. Man business. Refined business. But manly business. I'm such a fan of this scent.

If you like Vetiver, you should shoot me a PM about a little scent I did called Pork Chop ;)

Well, it is a cracking Vetiver, come the cooler months I will be using it at least twice a week.

Yes, sorry, poor choice of words on my part.

You selflessly and caringly provided a wonderful solution to a problem faced by another member...

You would make a fantastic politician, you should move to Canb-

Oh, never mind...

I was pleased that there is another dedicated Vetiver fan here though, admittedly my launching a Vetiver based Aftershave at the beginning of December in Australia was, on reflection, ill considered :D

...

There are only two MPs in Canberra - two of the safest ALP seats in the country - and two senators - one for each major party.

So very FEW politicians in Canberra actually ....

Man !! your whipping up enough lather to shave an army :ROFLMAO:

Trust me the brush is doing most of the work! The soap is always a winner but there current generation synthetics are incredible! And when it's a custom top quality handle you can't go wrong!!!!!! Can't wait to have work begin on my 30mm chubby ghost!!!!

My Very First Mastro Livi

In this cold day I wanted to use my very first Mastro Livi straght razor and brush. It is now almost four years I have this straight razor and I am literally amazed by the performance of its shave. In four years I have never honed or refreshed its edge and it still shaves like the first time. I simply used Mastro Livi loom strop and hand palm stropping which are both revealing to be the ultimate "tools" for ordinary maintenance of the edge and forget about hones and stones! Simply amazing! The shave brush is nothing less in terms of quality: a very good handle perfectly fitting my hand and a super silvertip badger with an excellent performance and backbone. As for the rest, my pre-shave oil and shaving soap did the rest to make this shave pleasurable and the touch of Denim White aftershave has been perfect in giving refreshing sensation.

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: Semogue 1800 Boar
Soap: Crown King Rustler's Ridge
Razor: ATT Kronos open comb M2
Blade: Vintage Personna 74 (4)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Splash: Crown King Rustler's Ridge

Another great shave this evening. The Crown King soap gave good lubrication and residual slickness - a comfortable 3 pass shave, and very close. The Rustler's Ridge scent is a desert theme, and I like it.

Razor: Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (6)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Culmak reknotted in TGN finest
Soap/Cream: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus Shaving Soap
Post-shave: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus Aftershave Splash

So hard to resist the temptation of a new soap arrival - but I'm a man on a mission!

Lab Blue on last legs but doing OK, might eek one last shave out of it to finish off the soap...

Pre: Shower and face scrub Banh charcoal soap.
Razor/Blade: Gillette Redtip w/unknown Gillette (2)
Soap: Tiki "Fougere"
Brush: PantaRei "Heelan Coo" Badger/boar knot
Post shave: Thayers WH, Myrsol Emulsion & Balsamica, Extro aftershave "Fig"

Enjoyed and needed after a bout with manflu.
