Yes, yes, yes - that Spitfire from @Kerry@Phoenix&Beau !

Is it the leather, the juniper or the tobacco? All day long I get little whiffs of the scent. Warming and comforting. [deep contented sigh]

I have been using the Slim Adjustable a few times over the last few days. I don't think it comes close to the Fat Boy as a preference. Good solid shave nonetheless, helped along with a new addition to the shaving stable that arrived last night. Wholly Kaw "King of Oud" is a great fragrance and as per all other Wholly Kaw products brings about a great lathery cream easily. The scent still doesn't knock "Group Captains Blend" off its perch but it already is in my top five!

I also like their After Shave Balm and bought a few others at the same time to match with other soaps I have.

@SpeedyPC .. you won't be disappointed!

Thoughts...
- A three pass BBS on 2 days growth. I really like this soap scent and the normal SH magic was in operation.
- Vintage English Leather is potent stuff. A very woody powdery leather on that famous 70s vibe. Not too much burn and face feel is fair. But this is all about the scent.

Honestly the only reason I haven't tried this yet is because there is no local distributor.
But, I may have to just give it a whirl anyway. It sounds lovely.

Remind me and I will get a sample to you!

BTW - watch out for The English Shaving Co - they regularly have 99p international delivery specials. I think they have introduced a minimum spend but that is not a problem ...

At the Canberra meetup, @Mark1966 was kind enough to loan me his Schick Injector to try.
I admit I wasn't expecting much from this little guy - He looks like a hybrid between a cart-handle and a DE razor. But, I was pleasantly surprised.
The shave started very mild and I found I was able to make it more aggressive by changing the angle. I never felt like I was in any danger as it almost needs you to consciously make it more aggressive; stop thinking about it and it goes mild again. This behaviour is a great default as it make mistakes unlikely.
The result of my first attempt was a very easy, low-irritation shave. It mowed through my 3-day growth with no hesitation. I don't think it'll ever be as close as my 6c (#5) as you don't get much blade-feel. But, you don't always want a totally BBS shave.
The Injector is fantastic if you want a comfortable, non-irritant, or fast shave. I can totally see myself using one on these on holidays.

Here is a google-search image of the same razor:

Super easy shave, fantastic result.

I really like the B&M soap, the performance is great but the scent is nice and mild which I really enjoy.
Might have to try some of their other offerings

I am thinking on Seville soap, for next B&M. I reckon it may suits well on the next months. So far my experience is with Sandalwood as you. I reckon its fragance may be not suitable for daily use for me, but I enjoy smelling it and is a great performer soap. It also cames from the cheap B&M series, I wonder what the higher grade ones like Seville can do in terms of performance. I've read that the difference is not on the soap formulation itself but in the cost of the essential oils-fragances used between the cheap and not-that-cheap ones.

Gillette French Spoiler 1989
Proraso Sensitive Pre-Shave cream
William Mug Soap
Old Spice Knockoff Aftershave

Double WTG + XTG + ATG
The shave was a little bit tuggy but definitively smooth and relaxing. The cheap aftershave was worth the money, it smell good and soothes, however, it doesn't last as long as Old Spice (about 45min). I had been looking for this juice each time I crossed the border for the past 4 years but couldn't find it, until yesterday :-)

I know it's heresy for me to say this here but the value difference between fragrant oils and essential oils in many soaps is totally wasted on me, honestly when the base soap is the same give me the cheaper one any day, that said I generally don't buy the "full set"
And have matching soap, splashes, EDP and undershirt with logo printed on as I have a few EDP and EDT that I really like and to me they are just a different kettle of fish.

I have had the worst luck trying to get an injector, the first one aus post lost and was never recovered and another E type came from the US but one of the blade retention tabs was so worn it wouldn't hold the blade evenly and it tasted my blood.
Now that I have a quality injector I can say I'm quite impressed, they are quite a nice bit of kit, not nice enough to replace any of my current favourites but defiantly a nice addition.

Tried an Astra blade this morning given how highly they rated in the survey results posted up the other day. I'm rating it single use but maybe I'll put it in the Slim and see if it performs any better there. It did the job but only with multiple passes that left me a little raw. I'm glad I've only got a single packet (from a sampler pack) of these and not a hundred to get through.
