Pre: Proraso Green Pre/Post
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap/Cream: SV 79th Anniversary
Razor: Rockwell 6S (4,2,2)
Blade: GSB (7)
Post-shave: Alum, Emu Oil, SV 79th Anniversary, TSW After Balm

7 might have been 1 too many from the GSB blade. The shave was quite good, but the post shave feel not so good...
Luckily TSW After Balm can come to the rescue!

Soap: MWF
Brush: New Forest/Ts Turning 'The Joker'
Razor: GEM Clog Pruf
Blade: GEM (lots!)
Post: APR - Monsta Myrtle

Older blade has helped but still a bit rough. I added some menthol to the splash sample. These bottles hold less than I thought because WOAH, I over did it. Enough that I cannot keep my eyes open and they tear up. Still, loved the cool coolth. I really like this scent too. Just need a matching soap so had the excuse I needed to order some from Washpool Farms.

Post: APR Choix Alfredus & RL 'Safari'

Great shave today with an amazing level of scent synergy. The Safari is a magical match for the APR CA. The notes meld together bouncing off each other, working together forming something new and exotic. I can pick out elements of the two base fragrances still but now there was a new accord. I've never experienced that before! Awesome and it was all thanks to my 10yr old daughter who chose the Safari to match.

Shower
Feather AC DX non folding with Pro blade (3)
"Shave" cream (ex Faulding, as found in Colesworths)
Omega 80266
Re-lather / cold rinse

WTG + ATG with BBS result and a few weepers. This cream was another part of the job lot I got from @Cris. I remember using it years ago with very poor results but wanted to try it again now that I know more about how to use it. This time, I used a lot more product rather than be my stingy past self - added water slowly - and it worked! I went full walnut rather than almond sized snurdle.... to get an acceptable and comfortable lather although there is still no real slickness to speak of.

There are much better creams and soaps out there but it was nice to know I could get a good shave out of this one. Although I did end up with my first post shave rash in a long time after letting the lather sit on my face - I'm guessing there is something in this cream I am sensitive to. It's another scent that I have no idea about so it could be anything...

The Omega 80266 is very soft but I won't be getting a banded boar again. It regularly sheds a couple of hairs per shave and it seems to be bristles breaking - as my Omega Proraso brush is so reliable I'm suspecting it's the banded treatment that weakens the bristles.

Razor: Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (2)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson 'The Duke'
Soap/Cream: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus Shaving Soap
Post-shave: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus Aftershave Splash

and the soap is ...

... finished! The finished products sticky

Now, what to try and experiment with before heading off next week and having just my travel kit. Hmmmm

Not going for the distressed and dishevelled look then?

More seriously mate - hope it goes well and the elusive justice is served!

Razor: PAA Prismatic
Blade: Shark SS (1)
Soap: PAA Malbolge (first use)
Aftershave: PAA Malbolge (first use)
Brush: Wolfpac Finest Badger

Thoughts
- The Prismatic returns. Wonderful to have that aggressive blade feel back to my shave and the ludicrous aural feedback. I really, really like this razor. I need to get back into the groove as the final result wasn't quite as smooth as my recent Gillette Slim shaves but still a DFS. One silly nick as I was smiling enjoying myself.
- It's fair to say that the Malbolge label sucks. It's probably PAA's worst effort and screams out "Matrix dork 1999". I don't even mind that the AS label rubbed off in the post and I never would have purchased this if not for @Sxot's great deal for the AS bundled with Amber which I wanted to try. Thank goodness I pulled the trigger because I love this scent. Both soap and aftershave are strong, huggable and really appealing to me - citrisy, musky, black peppery, tobacco and sugary? Sounds confused but this really plays nicely together on my skin. Balance is right up there with the Sangre de Drago AS... just less dark and a little sweeter. The performance of the soap as a shave platform was great in all areas but it's not quite up there in terms of slickness as some of my more recent ones. I put this down to not having used a PAA soap before and I need to learn how to lather it best. It took me a while to coax happiness out of Razorock too but their Tuscan Oud (aka Catholic Mass) is a killer for me now. Be what may, get some Malbolge on your face,
- Door bell just rang with another package. Don't you hate it when it's just an NBN modem and not your shipments from America?

Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (2)

Post: Witch Hazel, TSW Balm

Final shave with the impressive Sanskrit soap. I always got a great lather out of this soap and really enjoyed the post-shave feel.

Wolfman OC
Voskhod
Wolf Whiskers Ubersoft II
Catie's Bubbles "Purple Grapefruit"

Yesterday I mentioned elsewhere that the Purple Grapfruit is my least favourite from the 5 Catie's scents that I own. Whilst this remains true it is by no means a poorly scented soap. Nice and calming and relaxing. Once again a great lather and the Ubersoft performed incredibly well.

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 Colossus
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm Synthetic
Lather: Mike's Lemongrass & Eucalyptus
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Coniferous, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Unfortunately my last planed SOTD didn't happen - too busy having fun - so (another) paradise will have to do :D

8 days of growth and that's why I love a slant on my travels - after the first pass everything was back to normal!

Also: my last shave was a hurried airport hotel one and I packed a slightly damp synthetic brush in a plastic tube and forgot about it :(

8 days later the brush was still damp with a sharp scent - but one hand lather and all was good again - a real hair brush would have been totally gone by now...

Enjoy your shaves (y)
