Brush: Vie-Long, horse/badger
Soap: APR, SAA
Razor: PAL
Blade: Silver Star
Post: APR, SAA

Out with the PAL this morning, basically a lightweight, mild, Tech type razor. It did the job after a close shave yesterday but really I just like the box.
I really do enjoy the SAA, its always a treat to use on a Sunday morning, great start to the day.
I decided some time ago to only buy Australian soaps/aftershave and also to avoid menthol (I just don't like it). This has left me in a bit of a quandary of late.

Enjoy your shave and your Sunday.

Razor: Vintage Gillette 'Fatboy' Adjustable (5)
Blade: Vintage Gillette Super Stainless 'Aussie Spoiler' (3)
Brush: P&C (Tony Forsyth) LE 2017 24mm bulb Playplus shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Officina Profumo - Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella Firenze, Crema da Barba
Aftershave: Officina Profumo - Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella Firenze, Lozione dopo Barba - Tabacco Toscano
Cologne: Miller Harris feuilles de tabac EDP

Almost had a disaster this morning, the Miller Harris slipped out of my hand as I was getting it out of the box. Thankfully it only dropped to the half wall I take the picks on and the bottle was chipped but not cracked - that would have been a disaster as I love that stuff.

Great shave all told

No: 63!! The answer to life, the universe and everything (at least in our house anyway, don't ask me why, it just is). Where'd you get that stuff. Didn't know it existed, and is it any good. No, wait, it must be, it's 63!

Sophie's day out.
Pre: Hot Water
Soap: B&M Spice (sample compliments of @Bozley82)
Brush: Semogue Boar
Razor: Fatboy - Sophie (7&9)
Blade: Nacet (1)
Post: Jojoba
AS: B&M Spice (sample compliments of Bozley82)

Nice shave with the Fatboy. I think the Wizament Polsilver suits it better but the Nacet was good. One weeper. Love that B&M Spice.

Oh its definitely good stuff. I got it off Amazon about 12 months ago. It has a wonderful warm spicy scent to it. Smells like something you would expect to come out of France. Its very easy to whip up a beautiful thick yogurty lather. And the balms good stuff as well.

Glad you liked B&M spice mate. :)

P.S Sophie's looking stunning.

P.P.S That was a good read about 63. Seems it is the answer to all. ;)

My PAA Planet 9 stuff arrived yesterday so I had a rather enjoyable shave last night.

7ex22lE.jpg

Pre-shave: PAA ICE soap
Brush: TF Platypus
Soap: PAA Planet 9
Blade: Derby Extra
Razor: PAA Aluminium Alpha Ecliptic
After-Shave: PAA Planet 9 A/S balm

It was a great shave. Not the best I've had, but up there. The Neroli in Plane 9 is difficult to describe. To me, it is like a mild citrus Brylcream if that makes any sense. It made a nice lather but it didn't seem to hold up through 4 passes as well as other soaps (B&M for example) do.

I initially bought a bakelite Alpha Ecliptic to try but liked it so much I bought the Aluminium one and I like that even better.

I rather like the PAA ICE soap, it cleans nicely and can be used again before applying the main lather. You will notice that I used a Derby blade. Some may recall that I have commented on the Alpha Ecliptic before; I have tried a variety of blades and was astonished that my least favourite Derby's gave me a great and nearly comfortable shave. Just goes to show you can't make hard and fast rules about blades.

Stirling Rosemary & Mint
Rockwell 6S #2
Gillette Green Supers (2)
P&C LE Brush 26mm Bulb
Myrsol Antesol

Simple shave after mowing the lawn in hot weather. Stirling (along with Mystic Waters & Mikes) have to be the best value artisan soaps out there. Post shave is brilliant and performance is right up there.

Brush: Maseto Silvertip
Razor: SS General
Blade: Schick P30 (11)
Soap: Mikes Lime
Post: Dickinson's Witch Hazel

Nice Sunday evening 2 pass shave ready for the new week.
With the General/P30 combo I never feel that a third pass would improve much on what the first two passes already provide.
The Mikes was a top performer tonight with excellent lather but the more I use the Lime the less I like the scent ~ it's growing "off" me so to speak..... but don't worry, I'll struggle on with it until it's done :)

Three more shaves until I'm back on the Rockwell ~ I might get all my SE shaves out the way just in time for DEcember!!!
