Thoughts
- Shave was early this morning but I'm trying out posting images via the theme from my phone on the train home. Easy with postimage. Well done.
- This blade is amazing in terms of smoothness and sharpness. Wow. It was good in the Gillette Old but the Prismatic is a much easier shave because it's got the efficiency my skin needs. Just dances. I really need to try this vintage stock on other razors.
- Finally got the soap to match this beautiful aftershave. Stray whisker had run out so went direct to the source. It's not as strong as you'd guess in terms of scent but lather and slickness just mintox.

Post: B&M Leviathan

Miserable looking day today. Pissing down with rain and cool for a change. Came home from training like a drowned rat so something deep and moody was on the books. Mrs came in for a chat and declared "I don't like that one" to which I replied grinning "That's a shame". I do quite like it.
:LOL::LOL: That was exactly my experience with Leviathan. I found the coffee notes really comes through.

The Spiced Citrus cologne was a top match for the Mikes soap scent.

Australian Private Reserve White Tea & Ginger Aftershave

A nice refreshing scent for what's going to be a brutally hot day, I really appreciate the Mystic lather, it offers so much cushion and glide and a superb post shave feel. The mandatory 2 passes and a thorough wash off in ice cold water was a great start to the morning. A liberal application of my aftershave and balm to complete the proceedings was a great way to start the day.

Have a good innings fellows! :)

Post: Australian Private Reserve - Fete au Citron (Lemon Party) + menthol

Very rushed one today - completed whilst making a business call - but still enjoyable. Nice splash @todras. Scent is very appealing and evolves nicely as it dries down. Sure it is citrus, but doesn't scream it from the tops and isn't sweet (I have no idea what I am talking about though). Compared to Choix Alfredus the formation seems to have evolved. Is that true or is it just because of the differing EO used? So Lemon Party.... so "citron" means Lemon then? Figures... I think anyone who has driven one would agree. I added some menthol here. Funnily enough the same amount I added to the 5ml sample of Monsta Myrtle! Not surprisingly, the menth level here is far better as far as balance goes.

They are 2 entirely different fragrance families (with completely different EO's ofc) but equally complex in different ways. The Lemon Party uses a couple of quite complicated citrus accords and it rests on amber and vanilla so you get the warm, long duration base notes that last for hours that act as a fixitive for the delicate citrus notes. It's a summer scent, no doubt's about it.

The Alredus choice is mostly secret for now, but when you use it in the cooler months the complexity of the fragrance will reveal itself a lot more, especially in the dry down, I reckon you will say the same things about it but in reverse....

The trick to getting the APR scents is that they are very seasonal, I design them to be used in the seasons that follow for the year in the traditional sense with the warmth or lack of it dictating the chemistry of the accords and how they are perceived, their silage and feel. I obtain the oils based on the seasons of their country of origin, therefore I get oils that are extracted during the appropriate season in their country of origin, this ensures high concentrations of desirable compounds but also dictates when they will reveal their pure character the best.

Brush: Liverpool custom by Leo Frilot with a 24mm Tuxedo synthetic knot
Razor: Wolfman SB
Soap: Beaver Woodright Ghost Ship
Post: The Stray Whisker aftershave balm

Quick one pass shave today mainly as I wanted to use the new brush.

Very enjoyable shave with the synthetic Tuxedo knot having enough backbone for face lathering but still the softness you expect from a synthetic brush.

Soap, razor and aftershave balm all preformed great as well.

Alessandro will sort out any design you fancy, but you maybe mean handle style???? The new ones are massive in comparison to the one pictured above.

I'm talking about what design to have painted on the handle. Probably a straight is the go.

Awesome pairing too btw!

Shower
Fatip Grande Nickel with Lord Racer blade (2)
DR Harris Eucalyptus Cream
Proraso brush
Re-lather and cold rinse

WTG/XTG/ATG for DFS+ and one weeper. Finished up with a bit of irritation this time but not sure if that was the razor or the cream (eg eucalyptus oil). This time I scooped a bigger than almond sized piece out of the tub (cream was just soft enough for this) and face lathered direct. I ended up with too much lather - I didn't know where I was going to put it all! It just kept taking more water too. I was only planning to have a two pass shave but was having too much fun to stop! I suspect I need to just give my face a rest from all these extra close shaves...

White Tea & Ginger is a masterful blend. Great work, @todras.
