Hummm... that was it, a cypress, very different to other splashes I have . I actually used it this early morning as my only scent (no EdP)and was quite evolving. That coinferous (Hinoki) remains after other notes vanished (some non standard citrus there?)

Keep the Splash and EDP away from the countertop edge @LukehGee....
Haha. It went right back in the cupboard after the photo untill use thismorning. I may bubble wrap the bathroom floor on the weekend.

A couple of heavy 'designer' bath mats (chosen by the good wife) around the shaving area is my implementation, it has saved many an expensive brush and bottle from hitting the tiled floors.
Such an awesome Winter fragrance
Your APR bottles can take a hit, I was surprised that bottle did not desintigrate. I didn't just drop it, I opened a door and launched it off the bench! I blame the shoe box I live in.
If I may.... due to my lack of knowledge of scents-parfums.... I can easily decide if some scent must be a formal vs informal scent, and when is the situation to maybe use it. That idoru does not fit well in this way of separation, but it smell nice (It leave he cypress scent for many hours!!). AsI am lately a night shaver, I don;t make my accord on the morning.. Tomorrow I will ask some of the women around to explicitly smell me and to see what they got!. I don't care as along as ai like it, but yes, I realize it is a different thing in term of how it start and evolve....It's a very different design, normally I want to establish horizontal accords of various notes but with this fragrance I wanted a vertical accord to make the Hinoki shine.
Tims friend had the Hinoki sent direct from Japan for the perfume too. Funnily I see 'Idoru' sets or splashes come up from time to time and it always reminds me of the process we went through working up the fragrance and getting Tim's reaction when he first experienced it. I still find it very hard to wear because of this.
