Pre: Warm water, Proraso Green
Razor: Muhle R89
Blade: Feather
Bowl: Handmade bowl, Mk1
Brush: Muhle Silvertip badger
Soap: Proraso Green
Post: Proraso Green Blam
A nostalgic shave with the Muhle razor and brush set. Three passes and a touch up for a DFS.

Wonderful shave tonight. All the old favourites caught my attention. A 6/8" Tanifuji razor, a dynamic 28 mm Omega Boar and my second to last soap I made.
A super smooth single pass followed up by the Macadamia nut oil and the Lemon Myrtle.

Enjoy your weekend guys :)
My lastest beer is now in the keg and excellent drinking.

Steve

Ants can't break-in or smell anything inside my military footlocker because it's bulletproof, bombproof and fireproof protection
Is it heat proof? I could imagine a fire would heat the locker sufficiently to melt the soap. A common misconception is the because something is fireproof the contents within would be safe in the event of a fire. I have heard many stories of the contents within a fireproof housing melting to the point of being unsalvageable.

I have no idea at the moment @nsavage because I've never lost anything or burnt in a fire, so far as I'm in my unit on the ground floor with a private courtyard I'm very safe ;)

Guau!. This soap just behave in the face as a champ. It just came making awesome lather super fast, with a small load, considering that is a really hard soap, and the lather start to fell down the brush and acommodate in my hand while lathering. Superb performance for shaving, but not the best post-shave feeling. That's certainly not an issue because Frenchurch was waiting me to finish to intoxicate my nose and fill all my face and chest with all the good stuff and a great scent that still I cannot plot completely. I minor problem of this fletcher, already mentioned, is that it is light scented. I fell it well face lathering but if lathered in a bowl, the scent experience is more limited. On th eother hand, it can easily accomodate any good aftershave as there would be not big interferences.
The game is now between Talbot and Bufflehead. I think they both deserve a final match :D

Now, some duck lather.

Cheers

Soap: Pb Puck No:2
Brush: SOC Boar
Razor: AS-D2

Post: Jojoba Oil
@Nico . Tried the Astra, didn't go as well as the Feather blade, not as efficient but still a decent shave. I haven't used an Astra much but haven't found them stand out yet.

No worries @Pbgoose. Thanks for the feedback.
The Feather and Astra Greens are my-go to blades, they work well for me. However in the process of trialling other blades.

Have a good one.

Some catch up SOTDs, which looks like an APR limited edition tribute

Semouge 830
AP Reserve SkyeFall Soap and Splash
TSW After Balm

Todays SOTD

Rockwell 6S R4 w/ Polsilver (3)
Semouge 830
AP Reserve Velours Noir Soap/Splash/EdT

Both amazing scents and awesome shave. No splash I have yet used compares to the APR splash. The Chattilon Lux splashes are close but the post feel of the APR splash beats them.

And starting to nail the face lather!

Bufflehead dries the living heck out of my skin, next to none existent post shave. I go in hard and heavy with balms after a bufflehead shave or my skin gets way too dry. That being said, I have started collecting them for some unknown reason /shrug

I only have the EJ limes and pomegranate soap...how strong is the menthol on the EJ menthol soap?

If it's strong and you handled it ok, it may be some other component of that pre shave soap that caused issues.

An example, when I used B&M latha Oceana, it literally felt like I was shaving with acid instead of lather. I later found out the scent compound used to give the ocean smell was the culprit.

brush: maggard synth
razor: 6s (6)
blade : rapira super stainless(1)

back to a standard shave today except for the soap. the base is really good and gave no issues building a lather with great slickness and a creaminess thats just divine.the scent im not mad on being somewhat floral but it is well made up and im sure others will love it.
