Pre-Shave: SebaMed, cold water
Razor: Guerrilla
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Paladin Chief Strawberry Amber
Lather: Mike's Bay Rum
Post-Shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, Australian Emu Oil

This Sabini knotted Paladin was my first high end brush. I, it would either convince me, or I would stick to all the other hair types...and boy did it convince me. I don't use it too often these days, because I prefer 1 or 2 sizes larger. But I am always surprised, how much lather the brush holds and the Mike's lather it produced today was just perfect.

Fantastic shave with a fantastic razor - happy days and ready for our meet-up

I hope you all have a relaxing Sunday (y)

Soap: Mondial Florence
Brush: Semogue 1305
Razor: Parker 34R, Ball end tech
Post: Witch Hazel,Johnsons moisturiser

Put a new Lord blade in the Parker,(came as a sample),and it was horrible.Grabby, felt like I was using a dulled piece of fractured glass.Swapped it out after half of right cheek for a Nacet and that sorted it out, smooth and easy.Didn't feel like two passes with the Parker so grabbed the Ballend with a Polsilver on it's 5th run. Those blades are pure bliss, smoothness manifested. Going to try Feather blade next, have heard they are pretty good and they would need to be excellent to beat that Polsilver.
Enjoy your Sunday gents.

Self-effacing/recessive
Anchoring and yet somewhat elevating

The narrative of the fragrance is indeed inspired by Percy Bysshe Shelley's sonnet as you rightly guessed (in other Social media posts) - without me even hinting at it in regard to those notes to self quoted above. There has also been a few other Artisan's release 'Oudh' type fragrances, so there is a self referential in there too derived from the poem and what it means to me on a purely subjective and personal level. Shelly wrote the sonnet Ozymandias in a friendly competition with his friend Horace Smith.

Creamy/enriching/fungus? (Not fungus, fool)

You are on fire you glorious bastard, I'm nodding enthusiastically - the base notes especially :)

A fungus would be Mushroom absolute or an analog, but maybe it's a mould that infects wood like the pathogenic Phialophora parasitica ?

It's always nice seeing such creative SOTD imagery but @alfredus always adds a smile to my dial  Keep up the good work! :notworthy:

Sunday shave, farewelling B7M Latha series...

Pre: nothing serious, a bit of face lathering
razor: merggard 42c
blade: feather
soap: B&M Latha Sandalwook
post: some lather on the face + Shower
splash: FLoid mentolado suave

Actually is the worst shave I ever had with this soap. Maybe mi skin was still suffering from derby blades or whatsoever, I feel a bit of burn at the time I entered the shower, and after a long shower, the splash hit me as never did before. My skins looks perfect (as perfect as it could look on my face xD ). So it is weird

cheers

Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Castle Forbes pre-shave gel
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Croap: Alverez Gomez Barberia
Razor: UFO Tornado / ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus (4)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EdC: Alverez Gomez Barberia

First use of the Alvarez Gomez cream, which turned out to be a croap with about the same consistency as ADP. The scent is precisely the same as the cologne of the same name, which is great for me, as this is amongst my favourite colognes. The croap needed a wee bit of working to get the lather formed, but it was well worth it, as the lather performed very well. Nice cushion and glide, and some residual slickness, which is not all that common with creams.
One of the reasons I like the Above The Tie S1 slant head is its efficiency. It is a very smooth razor, but the slant design gives it excellent efficiency and the ability to tackle moderately heavy growth. The vintage Gillette Platinum Plus is a good match, being super sharp. I find that it is as sharp as a Feather, and has similar blade feel, but is not aggressive to my skin (which the Feather is). A shout out to @Monsta_AU for putting me onto these excellent vintage blades a while back. The combination mowed down my 4 day growth with ridiculous ease. Three passes for a DFS+.
Tonight's scent was a no brainer :D.

One blade/One Razor/One soap in February - Shave #08
Schick Krona
Schick Krona-Chrome
LaToja Shave Stick
Vintage Aqua Velva Ice Blu

An excellent shave, so far, the best with this blade. Classic 3 pass shave, however, I did the moustache area before the rest (all 3 passes).

OrBH3Vv.jpg

Soap: Mystic Water Soap - Jeff's Lavender
Brush: Omega Boar
Razor: GEM Micromatic OC
Blade: GEM (2)
Post: Jojoba Oil
AS: Pb Black Spruce
Micromatics - why did they ever stop making these!? Very easy efficient shave.(y)(y)(y)
The Mystic Water Soap seems very unforgiving. Overdo the water early in lathering and it just explodes into airy foam which then seems unrecoverable. Despite that the combo was a winner.:)
