Ummm, what have I been complaining about all week?

Smooth comfortable 4:??am shave to end the working week. Still only have the Parker on 1 - will dial it up on the weekend.

Thanks to @nav1 and the seller Ron for their thoughts and encouragement. What other eBay seller gives post sale advice? Thanks mate (y)

Soap: PAA Meta Nectar
Brush: Shavemac Badger
Razor: Ever-Ready 1912
Blade: GEM (3)
AS: PAA Al Fin
@nsavage Was the Meta Nectar a sample you put in the PAA lot I bought off you? Smelt great in the bag and good performer. Very nice.:)
Seems you can't go too far wrong with the Ever-Ready. Another easy DFS though maybe a bit more buffing as the blade gets a few shaves up.
Nice hit of menthol in the Al Fin.

The Parker Variant was my go to razor before I purchased the Rockwell 6S. I enjoyed the comfort of dialling up aggression with a simple turn but found anything above 2-2.5 as super aggressive for my skin. Keep at it @Mark1966 as it truly is a great razor to have in your den. Happy shaves!

One blade/One Razor/One soap in February - Shave #21
Brush: RR 400
Razor: Rockwell 6S (R4)
Blade: Derby
Scuttle/Bowl/Mug: PAA Travel Scuttle
Pre: Shower + Barber Shoppe face wash
Soap: RR xXx
Post: Witch Hazel + Tea Tree oil

I'm still crook with little sign of improvement :inpain: I'm going to try one more shave with this combination as the Derby has done itself proud this month. I look forward to trying different razors, soaps, blades but in the mean time I am going to make some lunch and then curl myself up into a ball and pop back into bed. Have a great Friday :doctor: #blade_of_glory

Brush: 30mm maggards synth
Blade: gillette stainless(1)
Razor: 6s(4)
Soap :cella
Post:Apr grapefruit injunction.
Finally a blade I like straight up on the first shave.sharp smooth and efficient this one has impressed me.and the cella is still holding on but I'm getting tired of using it everyday so might swap to arko or something else for a bit and come back to it at a later date.

Brush: Semogue 1305 ( per usual)
Razor: Parker 34R
Blade: Polsilver
Soap: Proraso
Post: Witch Hazel,Nivea,Old Spice Musk.
Have been face lathering for the vast majority of my shaves and today used the mug.I was determined to get a slick full foam so worked it and succeeded which lead to one of the best shaves I have had yet.Nice easy 2 passes with the Polsilver, also known as "Pay attention or I will bite you every time you don't".Two very small nicks because I was not paying full attention, yet no irritation at all otherwise due to working the lather.Oh yeah,I don't mind the Old Spice Musk either,a little sweet but not bad.

The Feb challenge continues into the last week and I'm 12 shaves in. Hell of a combo this despite the fact that I am DYING for some variety.

Findings so far:
- Schick P-30 is my blade of choice now with The General. Just outstandingly smooth for a full 12 shaves. I promise you'll get fewer weepers than with the Feather Pros too. Once the challenge is over I will do a proper comparison with the Kai Pinks.
- Not posting as many SOTDs means that you disengage with P&C a bit. Which I've missed BUT I have spent far less this month of this hobby :)
- The Stirling Lemon Chill is a damn fine daily driver soap despite the menthol strength. It also has a nice dent now.
- Pitralon Classic is a beautiful, quality aftershave. Excellent face-feel after a month of it... I even put it on when I'm not shaving.
- Bvlgari Aqva Amara was my favourite inoffensive, work-friendly, cheapie summer EdT but I think I'm over it. Probably need a year of not using it. Lol.

In further news, I've commissioned a new lather bowl by a potter at Guildford Village Potters for the grand total of $30. She's making it over the weekend and I'll post pics. Once we dial in a design I reckon we could do a very reasonably priced P&C bulk buy if this is something that interests (sub $30!). I do know I'm surrounded by face latherers... but I have noticed that face latherers seem to get more irritation from soaps than bowlmen. Which I'm going to call bowl latherers now. And you have to say it like you're a viking.

Outstanding artwork @Greenpike. Well done! Great idea regarding bowl's for P&C members

Thanks @nsavage ! (y) I put the sample in with my other soaps and it promptly got buried, Was a pleasant surprise when I found it. So that’s unobtanium now? Looks like only the AS is available and only to people who have signed up with PAA and are elligle for their rewards program. Interesting profile. Have you still got this soap and what do you think of it?

I do not have anymore of the soap. The scent is extremely good and I find the performance of the PAA soaps to be upper mid tier. Particularly good for a vegan soap.

Not sure what all the fuss was about - great shave on two this morning
