Flew out of Canberra yesterday. Into Perth and meetings that afternoon. Seminars all day today and tonight, Albany tomorrow then fly to Melbourne Thursday before BENDIGO and Ballarat Friday and Saturday then flying home.

So yeah, on the road again ....
Wow. :wideyed: I'm exhausted just reading that!

Yeah lol. I'd be ready to shoot someone after that. That flight to Perth is not a short one as well.

I've done Canberra - Perth - Canberra in a day once, meeting finished VERY early and I got the late afternoon direct flight back (just) - so it was actually CBR - MEL - PER - CBR. I've also done Adelaide and Melbourne in a day from Sydney once.

There is a guy on the AFF forum (I think) who gets Platinum One with QF, so 3600 status credits per annum, just domestically flying economy. Now THAT is a lot of time in the air. Most Platinum Ones are business class flyers and internationally. If all my domestic travel was business I would get there too - but our organisation would be broke and it is simply not going to happen in the NFP space!

I find your habit of UNPREDICTABLY using uppercase quite unnerving, emphasis can be implied by the judicious use of italics. I am also betting you have run the 'numbers' comparatively on the AFF chap and his points versus your own which is even more unsettling.

Soap: Luna's Fig & Vanilla (last of my sample:()
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Black Hawk
Blade: Feather Pro Super
Post: Jojoba Oil
Took me a few shaves to dial in Luna's and now I'm sad I'm at the end of this sample. Beautiful creamy lather and love that scent.
Used a bit more care today when cleaning the Black Hawk. Was thinking about too many other things yesterday when cleaning up the General and forgot to remove the blade before wiping the head plate and put the blade through the pad of my thumb.
Did anyone else look at the image and think it was @Pbgoose 's lunch? Tuna, Fig and something else. I'm glad you didn't shave with tuna, I imagine it wouldn't shave very well. :ROFLMAO:

Brush: PAA Atomic
Razor: Yaqi DOC + RR SS HALO handle
Blade: Astra
Scuttle/Bowl/Mug: Fine Lather bowl
Pre: Proraso white preshave
Soap: APR Suitably Attired Australian
Post: Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil + APR Suitably Attired Australian Splash/EDP

An awesome shave on so many levels - 3 pass BBS with the cheap but impressively efficient Yaqi DOC. So glad I gave it a try as its slightly more aggressive than the PAA DOC but a fraction of the price and apparently a clone of the recently released RR SLOC? To my great surprise the Proraso matched up well with the soap which smells soooooo delightful and lathered up a treat :giggle: Finished off with my first experience of an APR Splash/EDP and all I can say is WOW - Thanks @Mark1966 for the generous gift. Have a great remainder to your week and happy shaves!

I looked at the label this morning and the thought ('Luna' looked like Tuna) did cross my mind but I was too focussed on the wonderful Fig and Vanilla scent.:)

Well I understand that uppercase is shouting and has a clear meaning as such, whereas italics can be a little ambiguous.

My travel in discount economy is generally half the value of full economy and one quarter business, so I would still not be at the P1 level even flying full economy like he does.

Soap: Reef Point Dragons Blood (Sample)
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Muhle R41 Twist
Blade: Polsilver SI (4 and out)
Post: Jojoba Oil
Enjoyed the Reef Point soap this morning. Background image is of my office for the last couple of days in Western NSW. It is very dry out here. The wild pigs are in very poor condition and don't start running away until you're virtually on them which is unusual.

Winterfall soap and splash

I was waiting for a bit colder day to give the Winterfall its first go but I could not hold out. Both the soap and splash were great. Heaps of slick lather and my face feels smooth and fresh after the aftershave. And the scent is amazing.

The blade was smooth. Not as sharp I don't think as the Polsilver but still it's in the top of what I have tried so far.

On topic with the Winterfall, last night I spent an hour reading leaked script run downs of season 8 GoT. Only to get to the end and find out it was fab fiction! There's an hour never coming back.

Pre-shave: Warm shower and oil-based facewash (non drying)
Brush: TSW 452/24
Soap/Cream: Crown King: The Kiss
Bowl/Scuttle: Jude Keogh shave bowl
Razor: SS Colonial General
Blade: Schick Proline(I think) (8)
Post-shave: Alum, Thayers Witch Hazel, Marine Hylauronics (aka magic), Niacinamide+Zinc (also magic), Crown King: The Kiss splash

One of the first DE shave soaps was Crown King's 'The Kiss'.
I really love the scent, even though it smells very artificial and its performance was faaar better than anything I had experienced until then.
I haven't used it in about 6 months, so I decided to give it another whirl this morning... But I wish I hadn't.

It lathers well. But I found it drying and offers little protection compared to my current go-to's.
Applying the alum was like torture and my skin was all red and splotchy for quite some time afterwards.
I'm mostly ok now. But I'm still quite raw.

I have so many wonderful soaps that I'm starting to think it's not worth keeping anything that doesn't agree with me.
I think I will start pifing anything that doesn't meet my standards.

My current thoughts for pifing at the next Canberra meet:
- Crown King: The Kiss (soap+splash). Love the smell (too artificial to call it a scent). But too harsh on my skin.
- PAA: Déja Fougère (soap+splash). Different base to 'The Kiss'. But, from memory, similar performance. I like this smell too.
- Razorock: Moroccan Secret (soap). I have never had a good shave from this soap. One of the ingredients burns my skin quite badly. Some people seem to love RazoRock. But, RR are no longer welcome in my house.

Before I forget, I have already promised the Moroccan Secret to @Razor Burn. With any luck, he will enjoy it more than I did.

Preshave: Shiner Gold shave soap and warm water
Brush: Floris, pure badger, 20mm knot (20 years old and my first shaving gift)
Cream: Castle and Forbes, Lime
Razor: Giesen & Forstoff 1350K, open comb, 100mm handle
Blade: Astra
Post shave: Razorock 888 aftershave wax

This is my favourite cream at the moment, so easy to lather and it produces so much of it too. I'm not the biggest fan of this razor, the handle is very slippery and hard to spin between both sides of the head. The head though is nice. I'd rate it as mild. Not the most efficient, but good enough.
