Prep: Shower
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Feather
Brush: WWB + Maggard SHD 24mm
Lather: Wholly Kaw - King of Oud
Post: Wholly Kaw - King of Oud (toner)
Fragrance: Black Aoud by Montale (sample)

Two days growth gone, skin feels great. Not the best of shaves as I was in a hurry. With the non-alcohol toner there is no hint dryness even in this cold weather

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Body Shop synthetic
Soap/Cream: Squadron Soap Group Captain's Blend
Razor: Rockwell 6C Gunmetal (R3)
Blade: Astra Superior
Post-shave: Alum and moisturiser
Second shave with the new gear today. Moved up to the R4 plate on the razor this time.
Skin feels a little more aggravated - especially on the neck area. Still a great improvement than what I was getting before.

plate 4 was ok for me but once i went up to plate 5 i felt the burn, improved my technique until it was no longer and issue and when i went to plate 6 had the same problem, until the technique improved. The only thing improved was using a lighter touch.

keep at it and it should also improve for you

Similar smoothness and aggression to the Karve OC-D but not as efficient

How would you rate the gentile head efficiency and aggressiveness?

Jack Black Deep Dive
Merkur 34 + Astra green 4
Aubrey Organics Spice Island brushless
Proraso red
Aubrey is one of the best brushless creams .Very clean ingredient list, when finished just rub remainder of cream into face.
Still in love with my Merkur , the Game Changer .84 is probably better but I have a wierd and slightly disturbing fondness for this razor.

Brush: Proraso (Omega) boar
Razor: Rockwell 6S (R6)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5)
Bowl: Pereira Shaving bowl
Pre: Shower
Soap: APR Ozymandias
Post: Alum block // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented balm // APR Ozymandias Splash

A fan-bloody-tasic pre-work shave this morning with some of my favourite gear. Really hard to beat the 6S and seeking a smooth/efficient shave, the R6 plate gave me a near BBS shave with a minor nick on the cheek but no irritation. Seeing as the mercury has recently dropped in CBR I had to grab out a wintery soap and man how I like Ozymandias  Its such a great scent that I went a tad generous with the splash, so mush so that I still get slight whiff's almost 13 hours latter! A truly happy SOTD (y)

Hi @nav1 haven't returned to the Gentile since first attempt with Astra SP tugging day 2.
May have been a bad lather. Will try another day when rotating through OC's
Much prefer the Piccolo and Karve OC-D

Good to be back on the boars. It just comes more naturally to me.
Yet to find the sweet spot with PILS. 2 x pass DFS with touch ups

Seems you're an OC fan!
My favorite on the Karve is the D SB plate.

I'll look out for your Gentile feedback.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson H2 boar
Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fenchurch shaving soap
Razor: EverReady "E-bar" SE razor
Blade: GEM SE blade (4)
Post-shave: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fenchurch splash
Fragrance: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Fenchurch EDP

Razor is solid, now what about the brush? Using the H2 boar today. Not sure if this one would come as naturally to @Holiday as his other boars, with 50 odd years under its belt or there abouts it is as soft and gentle as a silvertip badger!

Still has some backbone, but just luxurious - just wish there were twice the hairs left, that would be incredible!
