Back to what has become a firm favourite. Picture is guaranteed 100% recycled, no electrons were harmed etc...

Razor: Vintage Gillette Aristocrat 1938 (New to me, so 1938 until advised otherwise)
Blade: Gillette Minora (7)
Post: Alum block, unknown sample of after balm
Fragrance: APR, Suitably Attired (sample bottle)

Today SOTD.
Found this little package hidden near my front door this morning (Saturday), so cleaned up the razor, and got it wet for SOTD.
A little sting and red skin on the neck afterwards, but balm providing the soothe.

I've been super lazy/busy to post but really enjoyed the last few shaves testing out some soap samples which put MWF to shame. There's a reason why the Kaizen soap base gets good reviews and the scent was pleasant in the bowl (kinda like Squadron's Warden) but stronger when lathering.

Never heard of First Line Shave before and whilst only a sample, first impressions are good with decent performance and a pleasant scent. Looking forward to testing out some more samples in upcoming shaves with some more neglected hardware...

Brush:- Semogue SOC 2 Band Finest Badger in Ash Wood 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Stirling Soap ~ Barbershop
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34G / Gillette Minora Stainless #13
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)

Great results. Easy to use. Looks fantastic. So why don't I spend more time using a SE? Don't know, just doesn't tick some box somewhere I think...

Post-shave: A&E - Khalifa AS splash - A&E - skin food nourishing cream

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS+. This Yaqi Grill head is quite aggressive, comparible to R41 in efficiency, and smoothness. I felt it was a tad smoother than the R41 compared to my last R41 shave using the same blade. The Yaqi Grill is not a smooth shaving razor head by any means.

Unfortunately there is a major problem which renders the head unusable again for myself. I was forced to pry the blade with an wooden icecream stick off the posts as the razor blade was wedged tight on the posts due to the manufacturing tolerances. :mad:( No glue dots involved) If it wasn't for this fact I would consider using this head again. Thus the fate of this razor head is the recycling bin.

To take a page out of @Errol reviews, final thoughts: Junk.
