Debut shave for both soap and blades that arrived in 24hrs from Vshod
With the only Blue Stratos shave cream coming out of a can compressed I thought I'd try RR Aqua. Off the puck it's very close in scent.. certainly a close match. Similar to Squadron Empire but more cologne category..
Aqua is supposed to an homage to Aqua Di Gio by Georgio Armani. Always wanted to try this one but never had the opportunity. Thanks for your feedback.
Awesome pic. Great use of color.

Yeah they do. I was lucky to get it here on the evilbay for a song. It’s a pretty good lather bowl as well, the triskelion makes a good lathering point.Bowl envy. Colm de Ris does make some nice crockery...
This one sounds right up my alley. Better add it to the ever-growing list.
Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Tallow & Steel - Boreal @rhodes96
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3
Blade: Feather Pro Super
Post-shave: Shower, Homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+.
COTD: Yemen Mocha Ismaili
I've never used Tallow & Steel soaps before, so this is a refreshing introduction in more ways than one. A very resinous accord with lots of woods, it almost comes across as being mentholated. T&S helpfully give proportions in their ingredients list, so I'll quote them here: "Cedarwood (25%) | Cedar Leaf (20%) | Balsam Fir (13%) | White Spruce (13%) | Black Spruce (13%) | Monarda (9%) | Birch (7%) | 100% natural aromatic extracts from botanicals". I need hardly add that performance is up there with the very best.
The scent strength is what I would call assertive. Not at all the kind of thing I would have sought out for myself, but nonetheless rewarding to have experienced. I reckon this would be an attractive alternative for any menth heads around here.
