Lupo 95
Feather
26mm custom boar from TroyTools
Tabac
Blue Stratos Splash and Cologne

Got a close shave but def wasnt anywhere near as smooth as the WR2 1.25 + feather combo. Not the best pairing but no dramas either. I would say the WR2 1.25 is a notch up in efficiency than the lupo 95 and way smoother with a feather. Also feels like night and day in the hand with the WR2 feeling it is of exceptional build quality.

Pre: Hot shower, Proraso Green
Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
Soap: Blue Devil Strawberry Patch
Razor: RR German 37, Yintal Brass
Blade: Gillette 7oc Super Platinum (3), Voskhod (3)
Post: Alum block, SpeedyPC aftershave recipe.

Now that I have a decent brush I decided to have another go at face-lathering - I now understand! My other dodgy brush would just lose the soap all over the place and I'd end up with a big mess. This time I managed to produce a good lather - using a brilliant soap like the Blue Devil sure helped - and I had an excellent shave. I loaded the brush for all of 10 seconds and had enough soap for a three-pass shave with soap left to wash out at the end.

Hey Stratman. I see you are rocking the Blue Stratos.
This was an old favourite of mine back in the day, and I tried some at the Chemist the other day. Still great. And I noticed in the ingredients that they still have oak moss as an ingredient - excellent.

It is good gear, it's my daily smelly-spray after a shower. Cheap too.

How’s the Cheshire? Tossing up between this and Noble Otter Noir et Vanille for a tea soap fix.
Cheshire was my first B&M soap. I bought it on their description as having recreated the scent of Earl Grey tea. What they don't tell you is that there's a big dose of patchouli in there as well. Earl Grey, for the record, has no patchouli in it. It spoiled it for me, though the soap works fine. The best alternatives I've found are MacDuff's Soap Company - Royal Earl Grey, or of course Stirling Bergamot Lavender.

I used to think I didn't care much for oakmoss, but I've found I've had to revise that opinion since becoming a fan of C&S Oxford & Cambridge (both soap and cologne). It doesn't really qualify as a fougère (I think) but it's a nod in that direction.
