/ Tatara Masamune Nodachi
/ Gillette Platinum (1)
/ The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% + HA
/ Nivea Skin & Stubble

Very close and smooth shave, with a little nick in the usual problem spot.

I was contemplating getting the Masamune top cap with Nodachi base plate before calling dibs on TomG’s Nodachi. In comparing this with the Blutt, I’m glad I went full nodachi as the Masamune top cap with less blade exposure would have probably just ended up another Blutt-like razor. Variety is the spice of shaves as they say.

Not a bad setup yourself MrG. How are the Jack Black products? As good as the deodorant's reputation?

Pre-shave:- Shower
Brush:- Brass Porchetta (baby boar) that came with the stand
Soap/Aftershave:- Reef Point Soaps - Command Presence
Razor:- 1930's Canadian Gillette New LC
Blade:- Gillette Super Stainless V4 (7)

Nice smooth shave last night but regrowth was so bad I could have shaved again this morning 12 Hrs later

Looks like you might still have a couple of days to go with that soap... ;)

Might be a couple of months with this brush :)

G’day Mate! Yep - I rate their products. The shaving cream is easy to lather, slick, a crisp clean scent, and a great post shave.
The post shave cooling gel was a gift from my Son - he purchased it at the Melb Mensbiz store. Very soothing, but don’t expect it to have a menthol-like cooling effect; a gentler approach.
I’ve been a Pit Boss man from the first day I used it - nothing comes close. Brilliant for travel, and when living out of a suitcase. I also use their Turbo wash gel; another great travel product that works well as both a shampoo and body wash. It has a robust herbal scent that some may not enjoy, but I find it invigorating. Rosemary, tea tree and Eucalyptus are prominant, but it is very natural, and not too medicinal.

Also in this category worth considering is the Body Shop Grapefruit shower gel. I find that a really useful all-round detergent with a pleasant mild citrus scent. Not too aggressive, you can use it as a shampoo, handwash, glasses cleaner, dishwash or just about anything, just adjust the quantity you use accordingly.

Yes, I have been hammering the Valobra a bit this week, and no apologies for that on this glorious day...
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate...

sums the occasional TAS spring day up just about perfectly. A rose scented shave is the icing on the cake.
