Brush: Thater 49125
Soap: Occams Original
Razor: Weber PH
Blade: Astra (green)
Aftershave: Floid

Early start so a 4:30am shave. Interesting what I reached for, sub-consciously, when non-adventure was order of the day. A little surprised I loaded an Astra and very surprised at how well it performed in the Weber. I've not used these since first starting this malarky and it proved itself well - very well actually.

Viva la Occams, Thater and Weber.

Do ever use the Occams pre-shave soap Stillsy? What are you thoughts?

First post to a SOTD and it's being submitted a day late :p

First try of the Dovo courtesy of @Nonick and the bonus oil. Brush was nothing special and the Poraso white. What I did learn was my technique will take some work, a syptic pencil is very important and.. well, that's about it :D

Nice dewy! Practise makes perfect, mate you perfect the shavette and nothing shaving related will scar(e) you again! [emoji106]

Brush: Omega little pig
Soap/Cream: Johnny GoodSir TMBR shaving soap (thanks @stillshunter)
Razor: Progress
Blade: Personna super/LB [2]
After-shave: Johnny GoodSir TMBR Aftershave (thanks @stillshunter)

What a scent! It's a scent for the men- and the wifey gives it the thumbs up also. Richly scented with a smokey, woodsy, spiced scent. No wonder @stillshunter raves so much about it.

Strongly scented soft soap which quickly lathers. Thick and smooth. It seemed to fade a little by the third pass though. It washes off quickly but leaves a nice post-shave feel.

My technique was off today. Bad shave day by me; missing patches, little nick. But the soap and AS pulled it back to a positive experience overall. It's always great to add another Aussie artisan to the lineup. Recommended.

Glad you liked it mate. I agree completely with your assessment. I can't pass the cabinet without having a whiff, and the wash-off is peculiar. But have to say, again, it's a top shelf soap and shows not only what Aussie artisans can create - but also that something good can come out of Mullumbimby….almost makes up for the role the town plays in the existence of Valor.

Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap/Cream: TOBS Jermyn Street (thanks @Nonick )
Razor: Fatip (piccolo)
Blade: Gillette Platinum
After-shave: Lucky Tiger (thanks @Mark1966 )

Normally rest my face on the weekend, but there's the possibility of going out to dinner tonight so I thought it a good enough excuse to shave.

The Smog is coming along - I admit it is softening - though it has some ways to go to even be considered in the wake of my Omega (31025). Inaugural Jermyn Street shave - see here for my impressions. Meanwhile, I often overlook the Fatip and it's a shame as its a great little razor ('little' being the operative word!). Always smooth and performed so well with the Platinum (I think Malteser?). Lucky Tiger added nice polish….I do wish the scent would last just a little longer.

Verdict: not a bad shave at all thank you.

Brush: FS badger
Soap/Cream: Mike's Hungarian lavender soap (thanks @Mark1966)
Razor: Progress
Blade: Personna super/LB [3]
After-shave: Myrsol Agua Balsamica

A lovely start to the week with some Mike's generously PIF/traded by @Mark1966. Scent was nothing special but lather was great overall. Top finish (as always!) with the Myrsol AB. I smell like a Mediterranean garden... [emoji4]

You poor thing. It looks the real deal, but may not cough up the goods. A decent brush is hard to find these days.

Agreed, but have to say I have learned that paying more doesn't necessarily get you more. My best brushes (esp. badgers) cost me the least. Case in point is the Erskine butterscotch with TGN Finest reknot I just bought from @Mark1966 cost a third that of the Simpsons Duke 2 and I am finding it the better brush already.

Doesn't @Mark1966 have a few others still available? @Nonick could have a squiz...

Strongly recommended though I fear I bought the last reknot that he's willing to sell. Mark does have a jawdroppingly beautiful restored Simpsons in Super.

The TGN reknot was done by @Pjotr I believe so he may be another avenue of enquiry.
