Just had a quick look and the one on ebay sold for $470. @filobiblic you know your stuff. With Weber no longer making heads they are a prized item and the price reflects that.

Thanks @filoboblic. I'm determined to find that magic spot with this one. It will not beat me! I feel like I've come a long way with technique, but I think I may well have a ways to go yet... In any case, I'm enjoying the ride. [emoji2]Some of the Gillette razors need a different shave angle (handle either further away or closer to the face). The Open Combs are often more efficient than the usual bar razors and reward good technique. Sounds like you're getting there. Keep at it. I love my OCs -they are great shavers.
Tried again today with the PAA Al Fin and got a (very) faint whiff of rose - but that was it. I wonder if my nose just needs much stronger scents?Sorry!!! [emoji24]
Until you drew attention to it, I never stopped to consider why he called himself that

Exactly! Why are nearly all brush handles copies of something that is illegal almost the world over?Yeah, maybe we should do real ivory ...
Oh, yeah, maybe not
Please bring along tomorrow48mm. The longer handle is 65mm and the size is ideal for eith bowl or face lathering. I intend to give a review of it after I have used it for a couple of weeks. So far terrific.
