I suspect that will be the next DE on my acquisition list and will be acquired in the very near future, I looked at it closely prior to settling on the Timeless as it is a finely crafted piece of kit.

A Blackbird is sure to impress @todras

A wonderful 2 pass - well it was after I ditched the first soap I had first lathered up. My razor was a 6/8" Tanifuji which is wonderfully sharp and smooth but with this soap it was quite bizarre in that it was not cutting all the whiskers. I relathered with a good soap and instantly the blade cut close and comfortably as it should. The original lather seemed very good but for a straight it was sadly lacking.

The Semogue 2000 is really breaking in well and lathers sensationally.

....and you're not going to name names?

Arko
Wee Scot
DIY Roo Strop
Lone Wolf
Barristers Reserve - Cool

Another top shave. Enjoying the Menthol in the splash. Lovely face feel and great scent, which is of course the whole point of the "Reserve" range.

It's pretty warm here in Brisbane. Not as hot as back home. Temps are forecast in excess of 40deg. Now you southerners may think "so what? We get that all the time" but try doing it with our humidity. 97% today!

I think I'll need some more meth I'm my life.

Occam's Crushed Lime Pre
Simpson CH1
Timeless
Feather
Bald As Soap Lemon Party
Chatillon Lux Fourth & Pine Salve
Chatillon Lux Fourth & Pine Aftershave

It was one of those mornings where I almost wished I had menth in the soap, a brutal heat fug has descended on Sydney and the air-con does not extend to the bathroom-yet. My usual two passes, thoroughly enjoyable this morning with the timeless finding it's groove again - I will post a review later in the day. A thorough cold water drenching then on with the most appropriate Fourth&Pine :- Orange, Yuzu, petitgrain and grapefruit notes being the perfect closing act.

She's a bloody stinker here in Sydney, stay cool and shave well cobbers :)

Oh I get it man, we have been hitting 34C which is warmish, but the humidity has been up in the 70%+ range which is very unusual and really farking unpleasant.

Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: B&M Hallows
Post: B&M Hallows Splash

Lovely 2 pass shave with my first real use of the Hallows combo, which was a recent birthday gift. The temperature is cool in Melbourne today, so it was a perfect opportunity to break out this darkish scent of death and decay. :sneaky: I have no idea how to describe it, all I can say is that I love this one!

Is it just me or does the "darkish scent of death and decay" not sound attractive???(n)

Ive tried Baskerville from P&B - I think it is similar - damp, dank, swampy , sort of smell. Interesting.

Just arrived back home after time away in Brisvegas. No shave today as I was up a 4.00AM for my flight but the last 2 weeks have been Arko, a dirt-cheap synth and a '61 Fatboy on 9 using Astra Greens.

The more I use Arko (and as I only have half a stick left and I'm on a buying sabbatical this year the only use it will get is for my travels), the more impressed I am with its performance. Cheap as chips and lathers like a washing machine with 2 full packs of detergent. The Fatboy on 9 does a great job of shaving close but I just can't seem to make the "finish" match that of the straights. I "feels" as close and smooth but it seems that smoooooth finish just does not "last as long" as using the straights. I used to think it was my personal preference for straight shaving but theses days I'm convinced that "somehow" straight shaves last longer even though straight & DE shaves "feel" comparable when freshly shaven.
