@Mastropiero nice looking all round brush the handle and knot

Thanks mate, isn't she just?

It's made by a Spanish artisan, he's rather talented with hybrid handles. This one is my main brush, as I said, I'm not much of a brush fan so I only have two good ones and a travel one. In any case, great all-round performer, and quite a beaut.

Pre-shave: Hot shower

Razor: Vintage Wilkinson Sword 'Sticky'

Post-shave: Bootlegger's El Dorado splash
Fragrance: N/A

End of the financial year, heading out to the kitchen tonight to paint the house beige ...

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow Pony
Soap/Cream: Oaken Lab - Earth Of Mankind sample - Thanks @rhodes96(y)
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3
Blade: Kai PINK
Post-shave: Shower, Homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+.

Another random pick from @rhodes96' "care package", Earth of Mankind is an Indonesian soap that's way different from anything I've had. It's a total spice bomb, the first note I get is a heady belt of cloves. Also in the mix are agarwood (oud), patchouli, vetiver, cassia, tobacco and vanilla. The soap itself is a very dark brown (they mention Java, so I guess that's it), so the resulting lather is a very light, creamy brown. As I pretty much expect these days, the performance is top-notch, a lovely slick, creamy abundant lather. Wow. This stuff is fucking great. :woot:(y)

I think the darkness is from the Vanilla, as most of the soaps I have with good dose of Vanilla are of that colour or darker.

Glad you liked it, it's a favourite of mine as well. I shaved this morning with the Version 1 base and the Version 3 which I sent you is a little creamier and a better post shave. Both Version 1 and 3 residual slickness is fantastic.

Pre: Hot shower

Whatever after shave balm sample that was, it was nice. All gone now but.

Day 1 of our mini getaway before shit hits the fan! Simple head shave in a different environment to normal. Nicely done and happily smooth.

Midweek Lockdown - 29.06.2021
  • Prep: Hot shower
  • Prep: Phoenix Shaving – Cube 2.0 Unscented
  • Razor: Razorock – Lupo Aluminium
  • Blade: Merkur – Super Platinum
  • Brush: Stray Whisker – 452/24 Synthetic
  • Lather: Phoenix Shaving – Clubguy
  • Post-shave: Proraso – Alum Block
  • Fragrance: Phoenix Shaving – Clubguy
After returning from our mini getaway, and my first day back at work, I needed a shave.

Two passes for both head and face to bring down the stubble to a more acceptable level of DFS. Some minor nicks on my lumpy, bumpy head, but nothing new, no matter how mild the razor and blade seems to be.

Maybe I need to try a different blade path or something completely new, a Leaf Razor?

Brush: Alpha Shaving Brushes T-400 24mm AP Shave Co. SynBad fan
Razor: iKon SBS + RazoRock Halo handle
Blade: Gillette Minora Stainless (27) - thanks @rhodes96
Pre: Shower
Soap: AP Reserve Winterfall
Post: Stirling Soap Co. Unscented Balm // RazoRock New York A/S Splash
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS+

Shave #27 with the same blade and decided I'd mix things up by using a neglected razor to mixed results. Started out on the aggressive side and way too harsh but surprisingly the milder side was still smooth. Not the closest shave with a few spots missed on one side of the face but surprisingly the chin area was fine?! Looking forward to perfecting things in the morning shave... :)

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

It is a beautiful soft and dense brush. I am still a BOARing old b@5t@rd but this is one of the few badgers I really like
Shavemac Americana D01 (3 band) 24/50 Bulb
@Mark1966 is this the brush from "So Impressed with Bernd and Shavemac"
I think you might have a problem with your keyboard. Bastard is spelt BASTARD. Just FYI... ;)

Chaucer wasn't afraid to use the word "cunt", so why should we be timid about using a simple word denoting a person of uncertain parentage?
